Draco got down on one knee. Hermione's eyes glistened.
"I can't believe this is happening," she breathed.
"I can," whispered Draco as he pulled out a small velvet box from his suit pocket. "Hermione Jean Granger, will you do me the honor of becoming Hermione Jean Malfoy?" Draco smiled. "Will you be mine forever, my wife--my Hermione?"
Hermione didn't answer Draco, she just rushed into his arms and pressed her lips against his.
"Was that a yes?" Draco laughed when their lips broke apart.
"What do you think?" Hermione smirked and Malfoy helped her to her feet, pulling her in for another kiss.
The two swayed underneath the delicate light of the chandelier-- Malfoy spun and dipped Hermione, and they laughed as they waltzed across the room. After a while, they retreated to the dining room to eat the feast Hermione had prepared. Draco got up when they were finished and retrieved a box of chocolate covered strawberries. Malfoy held out his arm and Hermione took it. The pair of them climbed the majestic staircase and then they walked into the room that used to belong to Lucius and Narcissa. When Lucius and Narcissa had moved out, Draco and Hermione decided that they were going to redo it and call it their own. The room felt like one that should have belonged to a royal. The best part about it was a ginormous balcony that overlooked Malfoy Manor's small private lake. Draco and Hermione stood and looked out on the water-- the sun's reflection glittering on the surface of the glassy lake.
'We're getting married," Hermione whispered softly, playing with the ring Draco had slipped onto her finger a few moments after he had asked her to marry him.
"I can't wait," Draco replied. And in that moment-- everything was perfect.
