A week passed and the group had moved into a new house. The den had the same old feeling as the old den. Rene packed her things and took a deep breath out. She walked towards the door and bumped into Lilith "Hi!" Rene called. She grinned at her "You and Randall are finally getting your own place!" She exclaimed with happiness. Rene rolled her eyes "Yeah, he's already there fixing up a few things." She informed. Hamish had just walked into the foyer "Yeah. I am sick and tired of hearing the wall batter nearly every night" He moaned. Rene rolled her eyes "He's got a point." Lilith agreed. Rene laughed and pushed passed Lilith gently. She unloaded everything.

When she got to the apartment, Randall answered and pulled her in "Here's to us" He stated as he kissed her lovingly. Rene pulled away with a giggle "Good thing you weren't there to hear what Hamish said before I left." She noted. Randall picked up a box and helped her "What did he say?" He asked. She placed a box down on the bed "He said that he's sick of hearing the walls battering." She told. Randall laughed "That's because he can't get with Vera." He informed. Rene looked at him sternly, but with a slight grin. Randall nodded "Sorry, that was harsh." He corrected himself. Rene grinned and walked out of the room.

They spent the entire night on the sofa, cuddled up, and watching movies. They decided for a laugh they would stick on 'twilight'. Randall kept pointing out inaccurate things "Look at that! They call themselves vampires yet they sparkle! Plus, I would clarify Jacob as a wolf, werewolves are a lot scarier." He added. Rene couldn't help herself but laugh at all the dumb thing he came out with. Unexpectedly, the doorbell went. Randall got up and dandered to the door. He opened it which revealed Hamish "Just making sure you haven't killed the place." He stated. Randall furrowed and moved aside "We've only been here a day." He informed. Hamish took a deep breath out "Seems like you're settling in well." He added. Rene nodded "It's a great place." She announced. Hamish dragged his hand down the wall "Treat her good." Hamish finalised before he left the apartment. Randall looked back at Rene, who was stood in front of the sofa. He walked over to her and picked her up bridal style "I think it's bedtime." He softly said. Rene giggled "Fine by me!" She replied. He carried her towards the bedroom, and she shut the door with her foot.

Rene woke up the next morning next to Randall, he was still asleep. She rolled over and rested upon him. She looked up at him as he slept. Suddenly his eyes opened slowly "Morning." Rene hummed. Randall smiled "Morning, beautiful." He replied in a tired voice. He placed a kiss on her forehead then sat up. She pulled her phone off of the charger cable and noticed she had five missed phone calls from Grafton. She furrowed and rang him back, but to no answer.
"I think something's wrong..." She alerted Randall. He got out of bed and walked towards the wardrobe "Why?" He asked.
"I have five missed phonecalls from Grafton." She told as she put on her dressing gown.
"He probably wanted to know how the boiler works." He grinned. Rene laughed to hide her doubt. He placed a kiss on her forehead before walking into the living room. She bit her lip as she clutched the phone in her hand.

Rene walked towards the den and walked up to the door. She knocked once and the door flew open. Rene bounced back "What's going on?" She asked.
"Get inside!" He informed. He looked around outside before closing the door. He seemed paranoid. Rene furrowed "You gonna tell me what happened?" She asked.
"It's Nessi, she's gone missing." He informed.
"Have you tried ringing her?" She asked. Grafton furrowed "No!" He said sarcastically. Rene folded her arms "I tried mailing a bird to her. Of course, I tried to call her!" He replied.
"What was the last thing you remember?" She asked.
"She kept complaining about the mark on her neck, and she looked unwell." He informed. Rene clicked to something "I'll come around later, I need to make a pit stop." She mentioned.

Rene walked into her classroom "Hey Robbie?" She questioned. He looked up and pointed at her "You're just the person I need to see.".
"Oh..." Rene muttered as she made her way towards the table.
"I was looking into your...problem. I found that what you, well, we are dealing with is vampires." He informed. Rene paused "Come again?" She asked in disbelief.
"Look." He turned the book towards her "Pale skin, abnormal eye colour, grey hair, and cold skin." He pointed to all the different diagrams on the page. Rene sighed "What if Amber is a vampire?" She asked.
"Well..." Robbie thought for a moment "It's your job to run them out." He finalised before putting on his blazer. He closed his briefcase "I'll give you the book. I'm sure there's some stuff in your temple to tell you." He informed.
"Hey, Robbie!" Rene called. He turned around.
"Be careful. I wouldn't like to see what will happen if they know that you know about them." She warned. Robbie nodded "I can take care of myself, Mrs Adams. Have a good day." He finalised before leaving the classroom.

Rene sat in the temple for hours. She read through many books that listed many supernatural creatures that had been discovered. She found the chapter which included vampires. She read through and found that vampires originated in England and Ireland. She grabbed the book and put it in her bag, along with papers about the many run-ins with them.

She ran to the den. She opened the door "Guys!" She shouted. Everyone came out from different rooms "What's up?"
"I know what we are dealing with!" She shouted.
"We're dealing with something?" Jack questioned, oblivious to the situation.
"Vampires!" She told. The room fell silent. Randall approached her "I don't think it was a good idea to watch twilight." He joked. Everyone laughed and entered the living space. Rene tutted.
"Guys! I'm being serious!" She frustratedly called. She pulled out books and threw them onto the coffee table. Lilith's eyes widened to the number of books.
"Remember the girl Amber I was talking about!" Rene pointed at Hamish. He stuttered "Yes, vaguely..." he answered.
"She's a vampire!" She followed. Randall waved his hands "Have you got any proof?" He asked. She tutted and rummaged through the pile of books. She pulled out an old sheet "Look..." She began to demonstrate "Vampires are known to have pale skin, grey or platinum hair, abnormal eye colour, and often have cold skin. They originated in England and Ireland!" She read.
"Do they sparkle too?" Randall joked. Rene slapped the papers on her thighs "Are you kidding me?!" She shouted frustratedly. Randall rolled his eyes "Babe! I think you're overthinking things!"
"That's what Robbie said too until he showed me all of this!" She told.
"Your professor?" Jack questioned. Rene placed her hand on her forehead as everyone looked at each other "Guys! The point is...Amber is a Vampire, and there's most likely more!" She informed.
"Have you got proof that Amber is one though?" Lilith asked.
"She's got weird eyes, pale skin, platinum hair...and has an English accent. If that doesn't scream vampire then I don't know what does!" She defended.
"Just because she has an English accent doesn't mean she's a vampire. You might as well say Nessi and Grafton are vampires!" Randall joked. Rene paused for a moment "Oh my god! Nessi's a fucking vampire!" She shouted as she crouched down.
"Okay, now you're crazy!" Lilith added.
"No! Remember when we woke up in the temple, she had these two holes in the side of her neck? Then when we turned on the tv, the hospital was raided of blood bags?!" Rene connected the dots "How can I be so stupid!" She shouted at herself as she spun on the spot. She turned back around "Grafton! Do you know where she went?!"
"Again. No." He finalised.
"Rene, I think you need sleep," Jack stated. Rene put her hands out "How can you guys not see this!" She screamed again. She calmed herself as she waved her hands over her face "You know what...I can't even with you guys." She stated calmly before leaving the den in frustration.
