Tommy walked Rene back to the den "Message me when you're back safe, okay?" She asked, and she turned to face him. Tommy grinned "Of course!" He replied.
"I'll see you around!" She beamed as she watched him walk off.
"Good night!" He shouted as he walked backwards. Rene waved and entered the house. She leaned against the front door after closing it. Lilith entered from the living room "Someone looks happy..." She noticed in relief. Lilith beamed as she saw the red flowy cheeks glow from her best friend.
"I had a great night, Lilith!" She exclaimed with a twirl. Lilith laughed as she watched her bounce all over the place.
"I haven't been this happy in a while, and it feels good to be like this!" She continued. Randall came down the stairs and witnessed her happiness. He smiled as he leaned against the bannister "I wanna call a truce!" He shouted. Rene stopped dancing and looked up towards him "Fine...but as long as I hear them magic words?" She pecked at him. He rolled his eyes and trotted down the stairs. He walked towards her and placed his hands on her arms "I'm sorry" He finally admitted. Rene beamed with happiness and leapt into his arms. He let out a small grunt before laughing.
"I forgive you." She whispered faintly in his ear.

The next evening, Rene walked out of her class to come face to face with Tommy. She smiled "Hi!" She laughed.
"I have something to show you!" He confessed as he grabbed her hand. He dragged her out towards a green mustang. Her mouth dropped as she examined the rims "She's beautiful!" She exclaimed in excitement.
"Wanna go for a drive?" He asked as the keys hung from his index finger. She got into the passenger seat with sheer glee. He got inside and started her up "Let's take her for a spin!". The car revved as it took off. She was laughing as they were doing way over the speed limit. The joy was soon over when they spotted a man holding a gun in the middle of the road. A fog had melted over, and they couldn't see anything but the man.
"Tommy...let's go back," Rene suggested with a shaky tone. The hairs on her arms stuck up as the feeling of unsafety arose. Suddenly, two pairs of headlights shone on both sides of the man.
"Let's go now!" She shouted. Tommy pulled the gear stick in reverse and pulled her back quickly. He drifted the car and drove off.

When they pulled into the college parking lot, Rene rested her arm on the door. Tommy's hands were tightly gripped on the steering wheel "Who were they?" He asked in a whispered tone.
"That was Dr Stevens soldiers. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have gotten you to hang around with me." Rene stated as she opened the door. Tommy followed her "It's not your fault!" He reassured. She closed her eyes and placed her hand on her forehead.
"They are going to see you hanging around with me, and they'll think you're working with me." She stated. He started to laugh "It's okay! You're a werewolf. I'm sure whatever it is, will be sorted out soon." He followed. Rene smiled then walked into campus. Just then, Rene's phone dinged "Crap! I've got to go. I'll talk to you in a bit!" She finalised.

She entered the temple to see everyone standing around "What's going on?" She questioned as she put on her black robe. Vera entered the room "I need a volunteer to enter the demon realm." She said straight to the point. Rene stepped forward.
"I've been there...I can go" She offered. Jack then stepped forward "I'll go with her!".
"This is a one-person job, sorry Morton." She denied. Rene stepped up to the altar with everyone watching.
"I will open a portal, tie a rope around you, and you'll go in to fetch me a golden necklace with a diamond pendant." She ordered. Vera waved her hand which revealed the red portal door. The rope was tied tightly around her waist, and she took a deep breath out.
"Rene?" A voice called. She looked over and saw Randall "Please, be careful!" He begged. She grinned.
"When am I not?" She questioned. She jumped into the portal and looked around. She was inside a long room jam-packed with treasures. She looked through old chests, boxes and drawers in search of the necklace Vera spoke of. In moments of giving up, she spotted the necklace hanging in front of a cage. She stood on a stool and reached high for it. Her fingertips just about touched it.
"Rene! Grab it and get out!" Vera ordered. When Rene grabbed it, the door burst open to a giant ogre-like beast. She gasped and darted for the portal. The ogre wreaked the place to get to her. Rene jumped through, just about missing the grasp of the ogre. Vera quickly waved her hand which cut the portal off, along with the arm of the ogre. Rene watched in disgust as the arm jumped and squirmed in reflex.
"The necklace?" Vera requested. Rene's eyes were fixed to the arm, but Rene tossed her the necklace.
"Careful! This is to destroy this enemy organisation!" She revealed. Randall rushed over to her and picked her up "You don't look so good..." He pointed out. She nodded, and he led her out of the room. He set her down on the chair and grabbed a wet cloth from the bar. He came back and sat in front of her. He placed the cloth on her forehead.
"You did good!" He congratulated. Rene still wasn't speaking, he furrowed as he stared into her eyes, they seemed blank. Vera rushed out with a potion "She needs to drink this. Ogres have a stunning effect which can turn her brain into mush if not treated." She informed. She opened her mouth and poured the potion down. Rene's eyes began to drift and she slowly came back around. Rene touched her chest "My necklace is gone!" She said in a frantic state.
"You never needed that necklace...it was a trick. I made you think it was magic and that it worked. All psychological." She informed.
"Oh...nice one," Rene replied as she sat back down. Randall placed the cloth back on her forehead, and she slowly closed her eyes in relaxation.
