She sat at the edge of her bed, staring at the bright blue crystal shining in the moonlight on her pillow. Whether she was touching the crystal or if she left it in the moonlight, the crystal would be shining.

Addison had no idea where it came from or how she managed to wake up with it in her hands but here it was. Though for the whitehaired girl, her suspicions were that the werewolves had something to do with it since they were the only monsters to use crystals.

But when she tried to ask them about it, Willa, Wynter, and Wyatt shut her down, asking that she only ask 3 questions or distracted her with short silly stories that they experienced. Overall, the night was slightly disappointing and it left Addison with more questions than answers.

At least she got to see a new side to the werewolves, particularly Wyatt.

He was funny with his little stunt on the marshmallows and when he offered one to her she was grateful that it was nighttime, helping to mask her faint blush. Shame that he retracted his offer and ate the marshmallow in a couple of bites, grinning at her shocked face. Though Willa was kind enough to give her portion to Addison so she was still able to taste Wyatt's awesome marshmallow cooking skills.

And when the werewolves deemed the night over, Wyatt walked her back home telling her a bit about the constellations and wolf puns because why not? Some of them were corny but a few of them were pretty ingenious.

"What do you call a careful wolf? Aware Wolf!!"

"What is a wolf's favourite leafy green? AROOgula!!"

"OMG!! There's a wolf! Where? No, just the regular kind."

"Only a lunatic would wear a wolf fur jacket. Seriously, who else would werewolf?"

Addison shakes her head, a faint smile on her face as she grabs the crystal and carefully wraps it in cloth, hiding it in one of the drawers in her desk. She had been doing that for the majority of the summer, not trusting her parents to question her about it if they were to see it.

And it's not like they were the only ones she was hiding her secret from. Her boyfriend, Zed, along with her other friends were kept in the dark which was killing Addison on the inside. She was dying to tell someone and there were moments during the summer where she almost told Zed, but eventually opted not to.

Her questioning her origins was a sore subject between the couple, Addison constantly questioning her origins and coming up with wild theories while Zed would sigh and wearily nod his head, asking if they could finish the date.

It was strange and when she did one time ask Zed why he didn't care about her origins he just told her that it didn't matter where she came from, it didn't change the fact that they were together and made a perfect couple.

While it was a sweet answer that had the cheerleader captain averting her gaze from him, mumbling something about his smooth talk with an evident blush on her face, deep down Addison felt that there was another reason Zed didn't want to hear her origins. She just didn't know what exactly and didn't want to push farther.
