"I hope the ride was pleasant enough for you." The voice on the other side of the phone says as the woman's gaze lingers on Seabrook Highschool. She was standing on top of a hill on the outskirts of town, not in the woods but at a Bus Stop, overlooking the human side of the town.

During her 10 hour ride, she had brushed up on the history of the place, pleased to see that many changes had happened since her last visit. Not that she could voice her opinion to her coworkers, lest she risk being fired.

"Yes, much better than last time." She shudders, unpleasant memories of the horse carriage she rode to the town rising in her mind. "Good, because that was the last thing I was paying for. The rest is up to you."

"Making my job easier aren't you?" The woman says dryly, keeping the cellphone in her ear as she leans over to pick up her red coloured suitcase.

"Not my fault you had to come back to Seabrook. Maybe if you hadn't made this mess, you wouldn't have to clean it up."

"That was over 200 years ago, I was young and inexperienced! Cut me some slack." The woman checks her appearance, once satisfied, she drags her suitcase behind her as she starts down the road to Seabrook.

"It doesn't matter. Just settle down, get to know all the residences. Observe the interactions between the species and look for one major problem and then report it to me and then boom, you're free and you get paid!"

"I wish, with my luck something bad is going to happen that is going to make this 10x times more difficult." The woman sighs, pausing to stop and stare at the full moon.

She wasn't a big fan of the stars and moon but oddly enough, tonight the sight of the luminous light and the twinkling stars was...gorgeous. She frowns, shaking her head of her thoughts as she focuses back on the phone call.

"You didn't hear a word of what I said?" The voice sighs, as the woman hums in agreement, continuing her journey to the town. "This is exactly why you keep getting the scraps when you could be getting the full meal!"

"I don't need another one of your lectures. I know what I could achieve, I just choose not to." She states, hearing the groan on the other side. "I'm done with this call. I'll send you the home address and another copy of the guidelines for these kinds of missions since I saw what you did to yours."

She smirks, images of her partner's furious face as he spots the shredded-up packet float through her mind. "I couldn't leave without causing some trouble." She teases, frowning slightly when she hears no response. He must have hung up on her.

She sighs, closing the cellphone and stuffing it into one of the many pockets her red overcoat has, walking a bit faster down the isolated road. While it had been a while since she had been outside, she didn't have all the time in the world to stop and enjoy the cool night air hitting her pale skin.

She had other things to do such as found the house where she would be occupying for the year, start unpacking, wait for Victor to call her, and research more on the humans and monsters living together in Seabrook.

The woman sighs again for the hundredth time, picking up the pace as she approaches the first sign of life, a ratty old gas station with flickering neon lights advertising beers and scratch off tickets.

"Excuse me, is anyone here?" She asks, entering the building and doing her best to ignore the intense smell of smoke and beer. "What's a pretty woman like you doing out here in the middle of the night?" An old man looks up from the 18+ magazine he was reading, whistling lowly when he spots her.

A tight smile is what he is given as the dark-haired woman observes him. "I am looking for a ride, perhaps you would be willing to drive me into town?" She doesn't flinch as the man lumbers out of the stool he was sitting in, straitening to his full height, which was quite tall for a human.

"You got money?"

"No, but I will pay you later."

He ponders this for a moment, glancing at his leisurely read before a grin replaces his somewhat rather plain face. "Money isn't an issue. You can just pay another way." He offers, the words and meaning quite suggestive.

"Of course, if that what you wish." The woman states, her dark brown almost black eyes meet up with his hazel ones. Her eyes glint in the moonlight as the man stares at her, lost in the beautiful hues.

She clears her throat, breaking the silence and the staring match. "Have we agreed on the payment?" He nods slowly, still staring at her. "Are you clear on the terms?" He nods again, still not fully aware as to what he agreeing to.

"Good, now you will grab your jacket and keys and get into the car. I will be joining you soon and during the ride, you are not to touch me or even suggest anything. Your payment for the ride is you get to sit next to someone as attractive to me, based on your reactions." He nods again, grabbing his jacket and rummaging for his car keys as the woman closes her eyes and holds herself against the counter.

He looks at her quizzically but she gives him a reassuring smile, urging him to get the car started. "Nothing more than a dizzy spell. Happens to me occasionally." She explains as she gets into the car, crinkling her nose at the messy sight before her.

Only when I use mind control...

"Hmmm, maybe checking out a doctor would be good for you..." He looks at her expectantly, as the Ford engine roars to life. She raises an elegant eyebrow, amusement filling her facial features.

"Valkyrie, you can call me Valkrie."
