It was a relatively warm day in Seoul. The weather was pleasant and rare which contrasted the feeling in her heart. Aera fished out her phone from her pocket to call her best friend as she stood in the park near the pond observing the baby ducks following their mother in a proper alignment.
"Jeno, where are you?"
"I'm on my way, I'll me there in 2 minutes. But Jaem-"
"Okay come quickly"
She ended the call without listening to what Jeno had to say as she was super tensed about how he would react when she told him about her crush on one of his friends, Jaemin.
After a minute or so she heard Jeno speak from behind her.
"So what did you want to talk about?"
"Jeno, I am gonna tell you something now and I am not going to turn back cuz I don't want to see the look on your face after I tell you this. okay?"
"kay"
She started off with a deep breath.
"I wanted to tell you that I like Jaemin.So much I like everything about him. His voice, his personality, his face and his smile...it can kill me. He lights up my world Jeno."
As she finished what she wanted to tell, she felt two arms which snaked around her waist and the person back hugged her. Shit, this is not Jeno. Her body stiffened as soon as she realized that it was not her friend who hugged her.
She turned around to see the love of her life with an angelic smile plastered on his face. Her feet involuntarily stepped back in panic and as she was about to run away Jaemin held her back and pulled her into a warm hug and she relaxed in his embrace. Then he spoke.
"I like you too"
"huh?"
"I said I like you too, but I take that back", her eyebrows furrowed at his comment.The words which next slipped out of his mouth made her heart race a million times faster.
"I'd rather say I love you. Yes, Jung Aera I love you."
"I love you too Na Jaemin" She smiled as tears brimmed in her eyes because she was happy...happy after a long time... after her parents death. She blinked off her tears as she asked him.
"And how did you end up here when I called Jeno?"
"He brought me along with him so I could confess to you. He was about to inform you on the phone but you ended the call before he could tell you.But I guess he ran away."
"You wanted to confess to me?"
"More like Jeno wanted me to confess to you. He wanted us to be together for a long time."
"Wow, he could have told me that or he could have atleast hinted me that he wanted us to be together. I couldn't sleep all night thinking about what his thoughts would be when I told him I like you. I will kill him the next time I see him."
They both giggled and Aera slipped her hand into Jaemin's and he intertwined their fingers as they strolled in the park talking about various things.
