IN WHICH FRANK
HAS A MOMENT
▕▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁

"The real treasure here was the memories we made along the way... huh, guys?"

"I almost burned my face off, dipshit!" A voice hissed.

"Ah yes, that was actually my fondest memory."

"God- no one fucking asked, Ryan."

Frank's eyes slowly opened, being met with streaks of sunlight coming in through the thin curtains. He blinked, closing his eyes before blinking again. At first he didn't know why he had such a huge ache in his shoulder, but as he slowly looked around he recognised that he was on the floor and had someone tucked into his side.

Frank's weak eyes looked down and examined the soft Batman onesie practically drowning what looked to be... Gerard? Wait, had Gerard really slept on him the whole night?

Frank's heart practically took over his head once he processed their closeness, and he nearly combusted when Gerard softly squeezed him. As if he needed to check he was really there with him, really there and really real. And Frank would be lying if he didn't say the thought made electricity practically jumpstart his heart.

He even let his face relax into a none-anxious smile when Gerard let out soft, sleepy breaths against his shoulder, his messy hair unruly and hanging over his eyes. And of course Frank couldn't just leave it hanging over Gerard's face, so he moved his limp and stiff arm to let his cold hand brush the strands from Gerard's eyes.

Gerard's nose scrunched up cutely and he soon blinked his eyes open, looking incredibly confused when him and Frank made awkward eye contact.

"Frank?" He asked hoarsely, his voice a few octaves lower than usual.

Frank offered him an awkward smile, "Hi."

Gerard stared at him for a short moment before seemingly realising where he was and that he'd ended up practically on top of Frank.

He immediately started to squirm out of Frank's arms, much to Frank's confusion.

"Oh god, I-I probably broke your arms—" Gerard whispered, and Frank's eyebrows furrowed as he shook his head - not letting Gerard squirm away.

"You didn't," Frank said softly, now not even wanting to fathom the idea of Gerard moving away. "You didn't break my arms. I—look, see?"

Frank pulled Gerard closer awkwardly and squeezed his lanky form. He offered him a weak smile and although Gerard seemed hesitant, he just nodded through his rosy cheeks and mumbled a quiet; "O-Okay."

They were quiet for a moment before Gerard lifted his head up from where he had placed it back onto Frank's stiff shoulder. He quickly pecked Frank's cheek, before going back to his earlier position.

Frank's face warmed up and he smiled to himself. It only got worse when Gerard wrapped his free arms around his neck, his mouth a few inches from Frank's jaw.

"'M cold." Gerard giggled after a while, making Frank giggle a little too.

He moved his leg oddly to try and get a blanket off of the couch without moving, but he accidentally kicked Gerard's foot.
