I sat at the dinner table with Effie, Haymitch, Julie and the stylist crew. I quietly ate some gourmet meat while everyone talked. They had literally tied me to this stupid chair after catching me trying to get to the roof with a stolen fried chicken. Now I had to eat in public, ew, and be around social people. Which was as bad as being social.

"Alright, time for the real talk," Haymitch suddenly said, popping his knuckles.

"Oh, fun, fun!" Effie said.

"I have acquired some special information that might help us win," Haymitch started. "I know what the arena looks like. Although, in exchange for this information, our little boy Alex over here have to spend lunch and breakfast tomorrow with John Laurens."

"EXCUSE ME?!" I spit out my punch that Haymitch probably snuck alcohol into.

"Its okay, buddy, its not like spending time with him will do you any harm," Haymitch said.

I sighed.

"Anyway, so the rumors are that it will either be a mountain, or a mountain with a forest at the summit," Haymitch continued. "The forest is said to be a spruce forest, and the mountain will have caves in it, also there will be snow on top of the mountain, and they even made thin air up there."

"Ooo, fancy," Effie said excitedly.

I ran all the information I had learned about spruce forests through my head. There was not much to hide in, unless I could climb up a tree, then the pine needles could hide me easily. Spruce trees where one of the classic Christmas tree's.

I continued to run all the common plants of those forests through my head, although I realized I would need much more reading about this terrain. And there might not even be a forest, according to Haymitch.

"Lets get to bed soon," Julie said.

"Sounds like a good idea," Effie said, clapping her sparkly blue gloves.

I tried to stand up and then remembered I was tied to the freaking chair. Haymitch smirked at me as he noticed me struggling. I glared at him until he stood up and untied the ropes.

*~*

Now I sat at another table, not tied to a chair this time, although there was still no escaping. Laurens sat next to me, and his mentor, his stylist team, his escort and the female tribute all sat at the table. Laurens kept talking to. I would either ignore the question or answer with yes or no.

I didn't want to give him my full answers to questions, as he literally forced me to be eating breakfast with him. Except it was in exchange for good information so maybe this was not so bad. Haymitch was here as well, and he kept kicking me under the table when I ignored the questions. he obviously wanted me to make a friend here.

"So, friend, what are you going to do if you win?" Laurens asked.

I glared at Haymitch, and he glared back. Guess I had to answer.

"Probably kill myself," I replied simply.

"Wait but- you wouldn't go home for your brother?" Laurens asked in astonishment.

"Well I'd give him the money, then on the victors tour I would kill myself in front of the camera," I said.

"Why would you-" Laurens said. "Alright its officially my life's mission to make you un-depressed."
