Chapter 26

Rishabh looked at Aadhya who was seriously typing something onto her laptop sitting in front of him in his cabin and sighed thinking that she is more workaholic than him.

They both are serious about this project as it would bring great profits to the company and are working day and night for this. He insisted her to work in his cabin itself as it will save some time of her going in and out.

Things weren't normal between them but they are not bad either. They were just going with the flow and nowadays they have drowned themselves in work.

There was a knock on the door and he told them to come in.

He was surprised looking at the person who came inside grinning at him.

" Hey Rishi!"

Aadhya jerked and looked up at the shrilling voice.

It was Neetha Singh.

Rishabh stood up and they both hugged each other.

" See, I wore the dress you gave me as gift. How is it?" She asked excitingly.

Aadhya got up from her seat and collected all the files.

" You came here just to ask me about the dress?" He asked chuckling.

" No, It's been long time since we have spent time with each other. Shall we go out for lunch?" She asked hopefully.

" Okay." Rishabh said and looked at Aadhya who was standing there looking at them blankly.

" Aadhya, what are you doing?" He asked.

" I will resume my work after lunch Sir. Excuse me now please." Saying this she walked towards the door.

" Wait!" She heard and saw Neetha walking towards her.

" Rishi told me that you selected this dress for me. I loved it! Thank you." She said smiling looking at her dress.

" I am glad you liked it." Aadhya said and tried to smile but she failed.

Aadhya was uncomfortable by her presence, she doesn't know why.

Maybe because she is too close to him.

Aadhya looked at Rishabh who was frowning at her and she walked out  silently.

She sat on her desk and took deep breaths. She felt suffocated in that room and wanted to be out as soon as possible. She drank some water and was shocked as she would feel like this only when she gets nightmares.

Why is she feeling like this now?

She composed herself and looked into her system when they both came out of his cabin. Every eye in the office is watching them while Aadhya just kept her head down.

" Aadhya, we are going out for lunch. Will you join us?" Rishabh asked while Neetha looked disappointed at him.

" No Sir." She said typing onto her laptop.

" Okay, but work after having lunch." He said and she looked up at him.

He saw something different in her eyes today.

Fear.

He frowned looking at her.

" Are you alright?" He asked concerned while Neetha huffed impatiently.

" Yes, you guys carry on please." She said standing up from her seat.

And before Rishabh can say anything, she walked away from them while Neetha didn't like the attention he was giving to his PA.
