Chapter 28

Convincing Rishabh to go home was very hard and doctor was fed up telling him again and again.

" But doctor how can she stay here alone?" Rishabh said exasperated.

" She will not be alone, a nurse will be there to take care of her." Doctor said.

" Yeah I know but there should be someone with her right! when nurse goes to rounds or something." Rishabh tried to convince.

" Look Mr.Malhotra, I understand your concern but I can't neglect the fact that you are not her family so please try to understand." Doctor said.

" I may not be blood related doctor but we are a family!" Rishabh said exasperated.

" Really? How?" Doctor asked sighing.

" I am her boyfriend and soon we will be getting married too." Rishabh lied.

Rishabh internally smirked thinking that it will be true in few days though but his smirk died when the Doctor looked at him skeptically and nodded his head in no.

" Stupid doctor.....Stupid rules....." Rishabh grumbled walking into the room making Aadhya look at him.

She looked at him amused when he sat on the chair sulking like a kid.

" What happened Sir?" She asked.

" Can you stop calling me Sir atleast here?" He asked huffing at her who rolled her eyes at him.

" Okay, what happened?" She asked removing the sir word and he glared at her.

" That stupid doctor is not allowing me to stay here with you." He said.

" That's good because I don't want you to stay here." She said.

" What? Why?" He exclaimed.

"I want you to take rest and I know you must have not eaten anything too. From morning you were busy with meetings and then after that you were in the hospital whole time. Please go home, eat something and sleep." She said seriously and he gaped at her.

" You are worrying about me? You are the one who is on the hospital bed and I should be the one saying all those things to you!" He exclaimed loudly and she shushed him pointing at Aman who is sleeping beside her.

" I am alright okay.....I will sleep anyway the whole night and I want you to sleep too.....please listen to me." She pleaded making him sigh.

" Okay....." He grumbled making her smile and he melted.

" I will take Aman with me." He said.

" No! It's okay we can manage." She said widening her eyes.

" Aadhya, they will not allow Aman to stay here and how can you both adjust in this bed?" He asked.

" I know but he can't sleep without me." She said caressing Aman's hair.

" He already slept, I will just pick him up and take him home." Rishabh said and she was hesitant.

" What?" He asked.

" I don't want to trouble you." She said looking down.

" He is not a trouble." He glared at her.

" I mean....sometimes he wakes up in the middle of the night due to nightmares and cries terribly.....you wouldn't be able to handle him." She said softly with tears.

" He gets nightmares?" He asks shocked.

" Yes, he used to get daily but now after lot of therapy sessions, they have decreased. He needs me when he wakes up and so let him be here only." She said looking at Aman.
