Tear it up

As Brian opened the front door of his apartment, he was gathered by a pair of pink lips pressed on his. When he realised they were Roger's, he kissed him back, his arms hugging the younger from behind.

-How much did I wait for this? It just feels like that first time, but now it is different... He's awake, he's not asleep, he kissed me first... Am I dreaming?-

A river of thoughts and memories were rushing through Brian's mind, which was happening to Roger as well. Well, to be more correct, the younger couldn't actually think of anything: he had been kidnapped by the moment. When the two of them pulled apart to breathe, their eyes met; Brian's look made Roger blush, therefore, because of embarrassment, the latter had to hide in the taller's chest. The curly-haired guy laughed sweetly at the silly act the blond had.

"Whatcha laughing at?"

The blond's voice was muffled by a mix between Brian's chest and his tears: he was overwhelmed by that situation, but he felt good and, most of all, happy that Brian hadn't pulled him apart. The taller guy broke the gentle embrace to give a good look at Roger, who couldn't' hide his crimson face anymore.

"Have I ever told you you're beautiful when you blush?"

At that moment, the blond's face had never been redder.

"Will you please stop joking!?"

Brian, who was already enjoying the moment, burst out laughing much to the younger's disappointment. After a good laugh, Brian noticed the pout on Roger's lips; the curly-haired put a hand on the shorter's head.

"So, now, serious questions, how did you get out of my room without me noticing and where have you been?"

"You're not my mother..."

Roger looked away.

"Kind of since you haven't turned eighteen yet..."

Roger rolled his eyes.

"I've been nowhere interesting, and, I got out by the window, you know, my secret technique to escape..."

"You could have hurt yourself"

"Stop it"

Brian would have never had enough of teasing Roger: he was amused by every single reaction the other would have had. Other than this, after what had happened, the two of them acted normally, even though neither of them knew what they were exactly by then. Everything became weird when the night came down: Roger would have stayed at Brian's since he had been kicked out of his apartment. They had already decided that Roger would have slept in Brian's bed, while the older would have on the couch, but Roger felt weird about it. Some kind of feeling now was desperately asking him to sleep together with Brian: obviously, he couldn't ask such a thing, so, he kept quiet, as he kept quiet for the days after... They had never discussed what kind of relationship they were in, it felt unplied between the two of them, but, even though the were a couple for real, Roger wanted desperately Brian to tell him clearly. As usual, Roger never dared to ask Brian.

Once, they were seated on the couch in front of one another, but Roger's eyes never met Brian's.

"What's wrong?"

Roger shook his head.

"Nothing actually..."

Brian got up and stood in front of the younger; he took gently the younger's chin in his hands to make him look up in his eyes.

"I guess this is my fault for not having brought up this sooner... Are you worried because we have never discussed since then?"

The younger didn't answer, he waited for Brian to find out what he was thinking.

"If that's so..."

Brian lowered himself to reach Roger's lips, which he kissed gently. After a few seconds, he got his mouth near the blonde's left ear and whispered

"I don't know if you know if already, but I love you, Roger"

The thing Brian loved the most about Roger was the different ways his behaviour could be: that blonde guy was so unpredictable that it could be very amusing to find out one new way of him to react. Between, the younger used to have a different way to act around Brian: he was real, and no one knew that part of Roger, which made Brian love him more. Roger could be moody, gentle, timid, fragile, just like a flower, but, when he was around Freddie or someone else he acted like the cool one, the strong one, the stubborn one... I've gotta tell you the truth, Roger was all of those things, but he could be himself only around Brian... Of course, all of this means that Roger was actually deadly timid about his relationship with Brian, that's why he couldn't tell explicit things: stupid, he always thought to himself, he knew well he could be like whatever he wanted to be, but his father's words were still echoing in his mind.

Days were obviously passing for the two of them, their friendship with Freddie was proceeding well, so as for Roger's friendship with John. You would be asking if ever the four of them will be friends with each other? I've got the answers to all your questions my darlings, and, you gotta know that the answer to this particular one is affirmative. Let me tell you how things went.

Roger was working at Kensington market, it was something like a week later Brian and Roger got together. It was six pm; they were almost done tidying up the shop.

"What day's today?"

"Fred, today is Thursday"

The blonde answered folding some shirts.

"What about going out this evening?"

Roger turned suddenly to look at his friend with a smirk.

"I'm in Fred."

"Will you ask Brian then?"

The younger nodded.

"We can ask him right away; he is coming to pick me up in a while"

After something like ten minutes, Brian arrived. Roger noticed him right away just by seeing the silhouette of a tall guy with a bunch of messy hair. He looked at him with a grin on his face. He run towards the door; as Brian entered he punched him on the shoulder.

"We were waiting for you, Brian"

The blond said.

"Now you got me worried"

Freddie came near Brian and Roger.

"We want to go out this evening. Are you in?"

"I don't have anything to do I guess..."
