SHE HATED BEING THERE. All the memories of the past creeping through her brain as she sat at the metal table. The way the blood was clotted into her head, her eyes wide with fear and shock, her lips parted. Her body shaking, everything muffled, stuck in a trance like state with no hold on life - as if she was drowning in water and she was grasping for air, anything for support.

Ransom storms in, ignoring the shouts from the officers to be held back. "Where is she!" Catching sight of the shaken up girl with blood, he rushes towards her, squatting down in front of her and placing his hands on her bloody cheeks. "Baby, oh god are you hurt?" No response, but her blue eyes caught his.

The officer behind them cleared his throat. "It's not hers, none of it is."

He releases a big gulp of air he didn't know he was holding in. Quinn's eyes started to water, "Ransom?"

Ransom's heart broke at her broken voice. She was so fragile. Never has be seen her so. . . hurt and broken and traumatized. "I'm here baby." And with that she fell into his arms, her hands wrapping around his coat and squeezing tightly. He cringed as the blood started to rub off of her fair skin and onto his light purple sweatshirt, his arm wrapping around her shoulders to pull her closer as his other hand cradled her head. "I got you. I swear to fucking God I'm never letting you out of my sight."

Lieutenant Scott cleared his throat, Quinn flinching at the sudden loudness. "So Miss Donovan, we understand how you might feel being here so we're going to try and hurry this up for you." She nods her head meekly, crossing her leg over the other and folding her hands together in her lap. "For starters, we would like to congratulate you." Furrowing her eyebrows, she gives him a look and he motions to the ring on her finger. "The family has been chatting that it's only a matter of time before Hugh proposes."

Glancing down at her ring, a small smile appears on her lips. "Yeah uh, he did it last night actually. About time, I've been waiting for a while now."

Blanc gives a small smile. He didn't understand their love or why someone like Quinn was with Hugh, but they seem better for one another no matter how much of a jackass Hugh is. "If you don't mind me asking, how long have you two been together?"

"Hm. . . nearly three years, but knew each other for four."

          "How'd you two meet?"

The small smile on her lips grow bigger. The day she met Ransom, it was one of the best days of her life. Though if you told her that day her and the man would get together, she'd laugh in your face. It was impossible for the two to really get along in the beginning, but nothing is impossible apparently. "Uh, it was a book meet and great. My father and Harlan wrote a book together -"
