Chapter 19

Jamal and I have really become so close. He calls everyday and text every day. John continue to caution me about him that he doesn't trust him of which he didn't know I know that Jamal is a play boy. I finished my examination today but I just want to stay in school for a week more before going home to enjoy myself very well.

Antho has been keeping to herself ever since she only speak to me once in a while. We are in Tife's room ready to discuss about our 200l life.

"We can stay together now". Tife said.

"Yes, that's true. The three of us". I added.

"Yes,but we have to look for a big and nice hostel". Tife said and I nodded.

"Antho you are not saying anything". Tife said.

"I have nothing to say. You guys should just conclude and let me know". She said.

"If you don't want to stay with me, I can stay with OO then". I said.

"No, no. Three of us are staying together". Tife said.

"Antho did not want me". I said.

" Yes, I don't want to stay with a so-called friend who said she was going to play Jamal and has ended up falling in love with him. I can't stay with a traitor". She said angrily.

I stood up without saying anything and I left the room. I guess OO will be my roommate then. I wasn't even in the mood to argue with any body. I entered the room and I went directly to OO bed.

"Hi girl". I greeted.

"Hi". She replied.

"You've gotten a roommate?" I asked.

"No, I wanted to ask you but Tife and Antho will always be before me". She said.

" Fine, we are roommates". I said.

She looked at me, surprise and excitement evident on her face. Then she hugged me.

"Ade, let's talk". Tife said as she entered.

I mouthed I'm coming to OO and then I moved out to the corridor.

"What?" I asked.

She dragged my hand to a corner of the corridor where no one will hear us.

"This Jamal stuff is getting too much don't you think it's time you also stop seeing him and........".

"And what?" I cut her off.

"Ade, you understand now". Tife Said.

"Wait, I don't know what you both have discussed but cutting of friendship with Jamal I can't. Just assume that I was the one in her shoe, will you ever advice her like this. If she's tired of this friendship, fine, because I'm also tired. OO and I are already roommates". I said and I walked away.

I didn't know I had this kind of boldness or attitude before but I guess when some are needed you need to show it. I entered the room and I signaled to OO to come. That day, OO and I went to check some hostel out and we finally decide on the hostel we want. We saved the agent number and then we moved out of the hostel. We took cab to the campus.

Alighting from the cab, I heard my name and then I looked back to see Tola running towards me.

"Hi", he greeted.

"Hi", I replied.

Then he greeted OO.

"Can we talk privately. You've been ignoring my text and if you could ignore my text you who am I to call". He ranted.

"You can see that I'm with a friend and I can't possibly leave her to talk you". I said. I just hope OO doesn't say, I will leave.

"I can go, we will see in the hostel". OO finally said what I didn't want her to say.

"Thank you so much". Tola said to OO.

"So, what exactly do you want". I said as soon as OO left.

"You. I Know I was stupid for cheating on you. Ade, girls like you are scarce. You have all that a man want and I'm stupid for letting you go the first time. Just give me this second chance and I'm never I mean never letting you go again". He said and I didn't know why I burst into laughter. I hope I'm not becoming a bitch.

"I should give you a second chance. You, Tola". I said as soon as I was done laughing.

"Yes, Ade give me, Tola, a second chance". He said confidently.

"Please, I have a lot to do". I said and I turned around ready to leave. He held my hand and then he said.

" You will come back to beg me". He then dropped my hand and move to the cab that was ready to go outside the campus.
I looked at him and then shook my head. This guy is so full of himself, I thought.
