Chapter 13

Holiday is finally over. I'm here packing my things into mum's car, she's taking me to park. New year here is just like normal Sunday, go to church and come back. After arranging my things, I gave the key to mum then I gave Tokunbo and Mayowa a lasting hug before moving to the car. The ride to the park was not only boring but stressful, mum kept on advising about school. I was thinking in my mind if we were not done about this school advice of a thing like I've spent a semester, I'm learning gradually na. Immediately we got to the park, I was relieved at least the discussion will end, thank God she's not taking me down to school. The bus driver helped with the luggage as they placed them at the boot. I saw that the bus only remain two people for it to be completed, so with me automatically it remain one person. I checked the bus and I noticed that the only two seats available were the ones beside the door and beside the window, I immediately moved to the one beside the window. Mum came to window side, she said a short prayer before going. Not long the bus started to move.  Going back to school.

After a long drive and journey, I got to the front of my room. I sighed as I dropped my load and was about to open the door. But before I opened it the door opened, revealing OO.

"Finally, thank God". She screamed.

She helped me with my load inside and I kept wondering why she said those words. But I understood when I see that Tory and Antho were not back. That means she has been the only one in the room. Well lectures starts next week but I need to rest a little before lectures start. She really tried because she helped me with the arranging and unpacking the loads. After we were done with arranging it was already late, it was almost 7, so I just went to shower, ate snacks and I went to bed.

The following day came so fast, my sleep was so short. I checked the time and it was already 10:15am. So it's  late in the morning and I still feel like the night is short. I sat upright on my bed, I looked around and I see OO reading.  'seriously, she's already reading'. I thought. I swept my corner,   and I went to have my bath. After bathing I went back to my bed and I was chatting.

" We were meant to be best of friends". OO said.

Only God knows who she was talking to, I thought. I continued chatting and not long when I was about switching to movie she repeated that statement again. Then I looked up from my phone and I noticed that she was looking at me.

"You were talking to me?" I asked.

She nodded then she moved to my bed.

" I was talking to you. We were meant to be best friends in this room". She said.

" But we are cool". I replied her.

" I'm not saying cool. Ade". She said pain showing on her face.

" I'm talking about best friends not friends. I really want you to be my friend because you are the only one who understands my personality. In fact you understand everyone's personality". She said.

I was so speechless I stared at her not knowing what to say.

"Say something now". She said

I was about saying what I don't even know when there was a knock on the door. I stood up quickly to avoid the conversation to open the door.

" Baby girl". Tife said in a singing way.

We hugged each other.

" How are you? You are now fatter o". I said.

" Who will go home and won't be fatter". She said then she moved in to my bed. OO already vacated the bed.

" Hello" she greeted OO.
