Owen's Change of Heart

Getting to know him

After I got off the phone with Deckard, I went to my loft apartment after I closed shop for the night. Once I got into my apartment, I plugged my iPhone into the iPhone music dock and listened to my race day playlist. The first song on my playlist was Taki Taki by Ozuna, so when it started to play in the background of my bedroom, I started to belly dance as I was getting my red and black checkered plaid mini skirt on. After I got my outfit on which was a red silk with black lace around the sweetheart neckline corset style top that I designed myself, a red and black checkered plaid mini skirt, a black leather jacket, and my favorite up to the knee-high heeled boots. I looked at myself in my full-length mirror and took a picture for inspiration for my new clothing line. As I went to get my car keys off my coffee table, my phone started to ring. I answered it just to hear Owen's voice.

"Owen, how did you get my number?"

"From your business card which I have to say that you designed your card quiet well." Said Owen

"Oh, why thank you. So why are you calling me?"

"I was wondering if you want to go out and get to know each more?" Said Owen

"I would love that. How about we go out someplace after the race tonight?"

"Can't wait. See you at the race then." Said Owen

"See you soon."

Owen and I hung up as I went out the door. Once I got to my garage where my car was, I seen someone who I was not expecting to see, my brother Brian. I walked up to him as I unlocked my car door. Brian stopped me from climbing into my car which caused me to look at him.

"Brian, what are you doing here?"

"I told you not to be around Owen Shaw and yet, I hear that you are going to have him over so you can make him a leather jacket that will have gun holsters for his two guns! Did you forget what happened when he tried to hurt Mia and Jack?!" Said Brian

"I wasn't around the crew during that time because I was finishing up Med School here in London!"

"Wait a minute, Dom was telling the truth when he said that you really did help Deckard and Owen rescue his son from Cipher?" Said Brian

"Yes, he was! If you stopped judging people because of their past, then you would have known that Owen really isn't a bad guy!"

I ripped my arm out of Brian's hand and got into my Ford Mustang GT. When I started my car and got it in drive, I sped off to the race so I can blow off some steam. Once I got to the race area, I could see Owen talking to Dom and Letty. I pulled my car up to Owen's Aston Martin and got out to talk to them. Letty seen that I was pissed off about something and so did Owen. Letty went to ask me what was wrong, but Owen beat her to it.

"What's wrong? Did someone upset you?" Said Owen

"Yeah, my brother got me upset. Dom, you may want to call Brian and talk to him since he's in town."

"Okay Care, but will you be okay since I know how you get when Brian gets you upset." Said Dom

"Dominic, if you're okay with it, I'll make sure that Caroline is okay." Said Owen

"I'm actually starting to trust you around my sister in law. Care, if it's okay with you, I want Owen to stay at your place for the night and I'll deal with Brian. After you two race I want you two to go somewhere and get something to eat because you look like you haven't been eating properly, Care." Said Dominic

"I been stressing out about Fashion Week in Paris here soon because I don't have two people to be my models for my clothing line that I need to make for Fashion Week."

"I can be your male model and I can talk to my sister tomorrow night when we join my family for dinner if she would like to be your female model for Fashion Week." Said Owen

"Really! You would do that for me even though we just got to know each other."

"Of course." Said Owen

Just as I went to say something to Owen, I see Dom walking over to someone with a pissed off look on his face. Owen, Letty, and I look to see who Dom was going to talk to just to find out that Brian has followed me over here. We quickly ran over to where Dom and Brian were before Brian walked over to Owen and punched him in the face hard. Owen landed on the ground and I rushed to his side to help him back up. Once, Owen was back up off the ground and leaning against me I looked at Brian with pure anger in my eyes.

"What the hell, Brian?!"

"If you dare put one figure on my sister or hurt her in any way, I will kill you!" said Brain

"I don't not wish to cause any harm to Caroline after what she has done for me during my recovery that you caused!" Said Owen

"Owen, Brian, stop this right now! You know what Dom, I decided not to race tonight! Owen, come on let's go get something to eat before you have to stay the night at my place, so I don't have another emotional break because my brother wants to be an overprotective asshole."

"Alright, Caroline." Said Owen

Owen and I got into our cars and drove off to do what Dom told us to do. As we were leaving, Dom watched us drove off before he looked at Brian, shaking his head.

"Brian, you really need to stop being overprotective with Care. She's a grown woman now and if it wasn't for her helping Owen and his brother with getting my son back from Cipher, then Owen would still be a bad person." Said Dom

"So, you're telling me that my sister did something that made Owen a good person?" Said Brian

"Yes. Just give Care a chance at being happy. She deserves at least that much." Said Letty

"Well, I guess I can grant her that much. It's just I don't want her to get her heart broken again." Said Brian

"We know but, maybe Care is who Owen needs right now to help him go on the right path." Said Letty
