Owen's Change of Heart

Feelings Revealed

As Owen and I were driving to find a place to get something to eat, I couldn't help but think about going back to my place and cook dinner for us instead. I grabbed my phone out of my chest pocket on my jacket, hooked it up to the hands-free device and dialed Owen's number. I waited for him to answer his phone when I heard his soft British voice that made me weak in the knees.

"Caroline, is something wrong?" Said Owen

"Well, I was wondering if you want us to just head back to my place and have me cook dinner for us instead since you'll be spending the night there. If you need some clean clothes for tonight and for the morning, I have some to give you, so you don't have to worry."

"That sounds lovely. I believe that will be easier to do as well as giving us a chance to get to know each other more." Said Owen

"Okay. Well, then follow me back to my shop. My loft is just above my shop since I own the building that my shop is in."

"Alright. Lead the way." Said Owen

I got off my phone and had Owen follow me back to my shop. Once we got there, I had Owen park his car in my garage with my car and had him follow me up to my loft. When we entered my loft, Owen was surprised that it was big just for a single person.

"Make yourself comfortable. Can I get you something to drink while I cook dinner?"

"Water is okay with me." Said Owen

"Okay. If you want to get cleaned up, the bathroom is the first door on the left."

"Thank you." Said Owen as he went to the bathroom to get cleaned up

As I was getting all the things, I needed to make dinner, my phone started to ring. I answered my phone to hear Dom's voice. I was a little bit confused as to why he would be calling me.

"Hey Dom, what's up?"

"I talked to Brian and he finally agreed to let you be happy but, there's something else that I found out and I need you to be prepared for when it happens." Said Dom

"Dom, you're scaring me. What's going on?"

"Cipher is back, and she'll be coming after Owen for betraying her." Said Dom

"Should I tell him or wait."

"Wait a few days at least. Care listen to me okay; you now need to protect Owen just like you did before. Do you still have the gun I got you for your birthday last year.?" Said Dom

"Yes, I do."

"Good. Start practicing soon." Said Dom

"I will."

Dom and I got off the phone just as Owen came back in the kitchen from getting cleaned up. I set my phone down and looked at Owen with a smile on my face trying to hide the fact that Cipher is back and is coming after Owen. Owen noticed that something was wrong and went to give me a hug.

"I'm fine Owen. I hope you like fish and chips."

"I was born here in London remember." Said Owen

"Sorry. I just have a lot on my mind right now."

"Caroline, listen to me. We may not know each other fully but you made me feel things that any other woman I was with couldn't do. So, whatever is on your mind right now you can tell me." Said Owen

"It just I'm not completely sure about going to fashion week in Paris when I always dreamed of going there for my honeymoon when I get married."

"Remember, that I promised to be one of your models while we talk to my sister about being your other model so, you won't be going alone." Said Owen

"I guess you're right."

The next thing I knew was Owen crashing his lips against mine kissing me passionately. I moaned into the kiss and wrapped my arms around his neck to deepen the kiss. Owen pulled away and looked at me with love in his eyes.

"Owen, I know we just officially meet but I would like to take this slow."

"I understand. So, do you need any help with dinner." Said Owen

"Yes, I do as long as we try not to make out with each other while cooking dinner."

"I agree but, I do have to say that the mini skirt you're wearing is tempting me to bend you over the counter and fuck you nice and hard." Said Owen

"Don't let my brother hear you say that when he's around but, what right does he have over my love life."

"I been meaning to ask but, are you really related to O'Connor." Said Owen

"I was adopted by Brian's mom when I was just a month old. My birth parents died in a bad car accident and I was the only survivor. My mom always wanted me to be a good person no matter what path I took in life. So, when I helped my family with the heist in Rio, I decided to use some of the money to finish Med School here in London and open my fashion shop."

"I'm sorry to hear that love but, if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm always a phone call away." Said Owen

"I know Owen and I thank you for that."

After Owen and I finished dinner and ate our food, I gave Owen some clean clothes to wear for the night. Owen wanted to sleep on the couch, but I insisted that he slept in my bed with me if we keep our hands to ourselves which Owen finally agreed to do. When we finally went to sleep, I couldn't help but notice to Owen was tossing and turning. When I went to check on Owen, he jolted up awake and covered in sweat. I gently placed my hand on his bare shoulder since he slept without a shirt on when he almost grabbed my wrist.

"Owen, it's just me. It's Care. Are you okay?"

"Sorry that I woke you. I just had a nightmare, go back to bed." Said Owen

"Owen, was your nightmare about Cipher coming back and coming after you for betraying her?"

"How did you know about that?" Said Owen

"Dom informed me that she's back and is coming after you. He told me not to tell you and just wait but now that you had a nightmare about her, I just had to get it off my chest."

"Care, I know we just decided to start dating but if Cipher knew I was romantically involved with you, she can use you to get to me and I don't want you to get hurt because of me." Said Owen as he looked at me saddened

I smirked and pulled the custom made 9mm pistol that Dom got me for my birthday last year from my nightstand drawer. Owen looked at me with wide eyes to see that I have a gun in that draw. I just smirked and put my gun on top of my nightstand.

"I would like to see her try to hurt you or my family. She messed with my family once, I'm not letting that bitch hurt my family again. I will kill the bitch if she ever goes after you or my family. Dom didn't get that gun for my birthday last year for nothing."

Owen pulled me into a passionate kiss before he laid us down on the bed holding me close. I cuddled up to Owen with my hand resting against his chest drawing calming circles on his chest.

"I don't know what I did to deserve you, Care, but I love you." Said Owen

"I love you too."
