Chapter 23

A/N: so I'm just going to tell you guys what the note read because I don't know how I was going to put the part about what the note said so yeah here you go⬇️

Hey babe. I wanted to ask you if you are able to let us off of class early? It's VERY VERY important I will tell you the details later but please just this once are you able to do it? If not I'll just find another way if your not able to.

Your POV:

As I was heading back to class I had a nervous feeling as to what Kakashi might think of what I said

The reason why I want him to let us out early is because I am helping Shikamaru ask Temari to the dance

Shikamaru had asked me last night around 2 in the morning if I was able to help him

Of course me being me I agreed and he told me what he had planned and we made small changes here and there

Throughout the day Shikamaru and I had decided it was best to do it at school. But since Temari had a game today with the softball team right after school ended it would be best if we had gotten out of school early to give Shikamaru some time to ask her

I quickly texted Temari to come to the front of the school and she replied back saying that she will be on her way when her class finishes

I walked back to the class and of course everyone had to stare at me. Which feels uncomfortable and awkward having everyone stare at you.

I looked towards Shikamarus way and I saw him look up from his textbook and I quickly nodded. Knowing he is very very smart he knew I was confirming that Temari was on her way soon

I headed to Kakashis desk to be able to write the time I came back from the bathroom. I grabbed the clip board and scanned the sheet to where I wrote the time and whispered loud enough for Kakashi to hear

"Hey so what about it will you help Shikamaru out?" I asked looking at the clock and quickly writing down the time

"Yeah I will"

I nodded and set the clipboard back onto his desk and headed towards my seat and got back to work

A little while later Kakashi suddenly got up from his seat

"Students I know this is sudden but you guys are dismissed early due to an unfortunate circumstance"

"Please pack your stuff and head out we will continue this tomorrow"

Since both Naruto and Sasuke knew about the plan and had decided to help Shikamaru out

Everyone had gotten up from their seats and started packing their stuff up

The only thing me and Naruto did was shove the paper into our bags in which we both will probably regret due to the fact that the paper will 1. get lost somewhere in our bags or 2. be very wrinkled by the time we get the paper out for tomorrow

But as if we'd care enough

Me and Naruto looked at eachother and nodded and we both started running at the same time towards the door in order to see who will be able to get to front of the school fastest and before Temeari did.

Meanwhile Shikamaru along with Sasuke were was just taking their sweet time packing their stuff

"YO HURRY THE FUCK UP SHIKAMARU AND SASUKE" I yelled and immediately put my hand over my mouth knowing Kakashi would NOT hesitate to give me some sort of punishment

"Y/n detention after school tomorrow" he said in a serious tone

"But-" I was cut off by Kakashi's words

"No buts y/n tomorrow after school. Have a good day"

I groaned "You to Mr. Hatake see you tomorrow"

Naruto kept giggling on the side and I gave shot him a glare

Shikamaru then sighed "Hey now calm down" he said to me

I turned my head back to face Shikamaru "You don't ever tell me what to do you hear me?" I said in a serious voice

"God these women" he murmured

"Okay now let's get going" I said smiling

We had arrived in front of the school and I told Shikamaru to get his flowers along with Temari presents that he was going to give to her

Both me and Naruto decided that we were holding the poster that said "Will you go to the dance with me?"

In which Ino had done the decorating of the poster herself. Shikamaru gave Sasuke a bigger gift back which held I assume was clothing as well as a separate smaller bag that had a bunch of candy

The only thing Shikamaru was holding was a teddy bear and flowers

The bell to ring signaling that school was over and that's when we held the poster a bit more higher and waited for Temari to come out through the doors

"Hey where is she?" Shikamaru asked

"Hold on I'll call her real quick" I grabbed my phone from my pocket and quickly dailed Temaris number

"Hey Temari where are you?" I said

I heard her breathing very hard in which I asked if she was okay but the only thing I managed to hear was

"I'm here"

I hung up the phone as fast as I could and told Shikamaru that she's here already

Everyone looked towards the front doors in which there stood Temari panting heavily bending down with her hands over her legs

"Temari would you do the honor of going to the dance with me?" Shikamaru said in a loud voice

She stood up and looked at the 4 of us up and down and said...

"Shikamaru.."
