You raised your fist and lightly knocked on you boyfriends' room door, you weren't allowed to see him as he returned from a mission a few weeks ago rather beaten up. He had been recooperating, and Tsunade was just finally allowing him to have visitors today. You had a basket of different treats and food for him to enjoy, hoping he had been eating correctly.
"Who is it? Don't come in Grandma Tsunade, I'm busy!" You heard your boyfriends' airy voice holler from the other side of his door. You rolled your eyes at his dramatics and pushed the door open. He looked over and as soon as his eyes fell on you, those blue orbs widened like saucers and his mouth pulled into a large, goofy smile.
"Y/N!" He hollered, trying to pull himself up on wobbly arms and pull the blankets off of him. His face soft but he was excited as a jumpy puppy. He had a few marks along his face, and a large piece of gauze on the right side of his cheek, the pain he must have imagined ripped through your heart like fire.
"Naruto-chan! Please stop that." You ran over to his side, pushing him back down onto the bed, dropping the basket onto his bedside table. You leaning down and pressing a chaste kiss to his lips to calm both of you down, the impatient boy pressing his hands to the sides of your face and pulling you in, deepening the kiss. His fevered mouth attached to your own and it made you keen into his touch like a touch-deprived cur, little whimpers coming from your mouth as he took control. His hands snaked around your waist and forcing you to sit, you in kind wrapping your arm around his neck with care.
"How have you been pup? I missed you so much!" He asked trying to lean in for more hugs and kisses, obviously missing the skinship between you two. You sitting on the bed and letting him cradle you into his large arms. Pressing a kiss to his temple, you sat there in pure bliss admiring your boyfriend and how strong he was despite being in pain. He smelled really good, like freshly washed sheets in the summertime on a clothesline.
"Missing you more. How do you feel?"
"Y'know me. I'm just fine Y/N, believe it!" He could definitely sense the concern in your eyes and tried to not make you worry but the slight tremble in his voice, made him tell everything you needed. His blue eyes darting to his hands, an evident tell that he was confirming your suspicions.
"Really? Lady Tsunade told me you had lots of problems with your spine and neck area. Can I see it?"
"I'm really fine." You don't know who he was trying to convince more, you or him. Yet you pried further, desperate to see how badly the scars were.
"Naruto." You tried again, him finally giving up and gripping the hem of his shirt, pulling it over his head and tossing it into a crumpled pile on the floor. Your eyes scanning his body noticing different sized bruises and scrapes along the length of his back. What really drew your attention was a bruise almost the size of a dinner plate under his shoulder blade. You involuntarily gasped not expecting the magnitude of it. Your noble and sweet boyfriend doing his best to console you.
"It probably looks pretty bad. I don't really feel it though."
"Don't move." You ordered, walking over to the basket you brought pulling out an ice pack used to keep his drinks cold. "Turn over." You murmured, him flipping over to his stomach and putting his hands under his head. You straddled him, careful to not put too much weight on his lower back, not aware if he had any bruises there too.
You placed the pack along the bruise, his back trying to arch up and hiss at the sudden coolness. "Cold, co-co-cold." You almost pulling it back but left it on, knowing you were ultimately helping.
"M' sorry. Just leave it here, don't move." You climbed off, sliding beside him your head pressed against his bicep, him mewling in content.
"What's in that basket?" He asked breaking the silence.
"Some food, in case you weren't eating correctly. I also got your favorite ramen from Ichiraku." He looked up, cocking his eyebrow at you, sensing he was about to ask for it, or either go grab it himself you declared, "Let's wait a few minutes for the ice pack to set and then you can have it."
"My amazing girlfriend and the best ramen in the world? I'm happy as hell Y/N-"
You cut him off, leaning into him more, holding your thumb up and finishing his sentence for him. "I know.. Believe it!"
(sorry this one is kinda short)
