Chapter 2. Let Bygones Be Bygones

Klaus' Pov~ 

I gave her my blood and snapped her neck as if it was my job to do so. Stefan dodged through the crowd of townies and pushed me to the ground. I had never felt so offended in my existence as the undying hybrid I am, so I snapped his neck too... 

I carried Pheonix back to Mystic Falls and into the Salvatore home. I seem to be lacking experience with women but I will try my best. I waited for her to wake impatiently, but then it hit me,  shes a Siphon which means when she wakes she will be an all-mighty powerful Heretic. She could even take me down... 

Pheonix's Pov~ 

*I woke up and took a large breath* "Where am I?" I asked. "Your home, Love," Klaus whispered. "Klaus is that you, Wheres Stefan, and Lexi?" "They're upstairs and still asleep but you and I need to take a quick trip," Klaus said. Suddenly he swept me off my feet as I was too uneasy to walk myself. We eventually ended up behind the Mystic Grill where drunk men and women would come out to either fight or prance about as stupid as it sounds. There we were, and it was my time to shine, I needed to feed in order to complete my transition in becoming a Vampire. A young woman came out from behind the Grill and I jumped at the chance to feed but Klaus stopped me, "Klaus! Rude!" I groaned "You have to be gentle and playful but both at the same time otherwise you may miss the vein, it's the best part." "Ok, ok fine." "Here I go," I said nervously. I pounce but softly and I tear into her neck, it is very hard to explain how good it actually is to feed but let's just say for a human it would be like getting £1,000,000 and spending it all on the food you love the most then having a feast that only includes that one food. 

Klaus looked astonished and told me we had to discuss what this meant for me and how I can cope. At first, he offered Rebekah to help me and I refused straight away because she is heartless. "Well how about Stefan Lexi or even Me but I perhaps it would be better for Elijah to when he's not busy?" He asked. I chose Klaus but only for the time being, as Elijah is out of town, but then Klaus said something that confused me. "You do know you can still do your magic right?" "What do you mean, Nik?" "I mean you're a Heretic, Pheonix." "But I thought you had to be born a Heretic to be one," I questioned. "No, Love you've got it all wrong see when you're born a Siphon you only Siphon magic from other things/beings but that doesn't mean you cannot be a Vampire without losing your ability of magic." He explained in a kind voice. "And wait since I'm a Vampire doesn't that mean I can siphon the magic from myself since I'm Supernatural?" I asked, "Yes, I think so, test it, set me on fire." He replied. "Erm, ok that's a weird request it's usually a locater spell people want but you know let's do this." I said "Phasmartos Incendia!" "Holy God, I worked!" I unexpectedly squeezed Klaus trying to put the flames out whilst actually hugging him. "You do know I'm only being kind to you because Elijah made me do so he has a thing for girls like you, and also as we said Let Bygones Be Bygones," Klaus explained. "I appreciate your honesty," I replied. 

As the weeks went by Klaus would help me compel people and teach me how to do other vampire things. But then Stefan found us inside of the Mystic Grill, He ran up to me and hugged me tightly, "Thank God your ok, Lex and I were getting worried seeing as your with KLAUS and not us! I haven't seen you in weeks!" He moaned. "Look Stefan, I'm sorry and yes I turned so now I'm a Heretic which is kind of strangely satisfying but I only wanted Klaus to help me because he turned me and I thought you would be ashamed of me. Besides, it's good to be friends with a Hybrid and or and Original Vampire, Klaus and I have found common ground with me being a Vampire Witch Heretic thingy." I explained. "Ok but never ever do that again to me ok!" He said in fear. 

Klaus and I talked for a while just about the perks of being a Vampire, but he said something that piqued my interest, "You know it won't be safe for you here when I go back to New Orleans." He said. "You're going back to New Orleans? No Nik you can't, you're here to protect me aren't you?" I became, well surprised by this. "Well, Love I have one idea... Since Stefan and Lexi have lived here years and not changed a day maybe you can all come and live with us, just a thought?" "Really?" I questioned. "Yes, you need to be safe don't you, and I mean Elijah, and I will protect you." He said. "Ok, I will go and ask Stefan and Lexi." I jumped up from my barstool in excitement and I raced out of the double doors. 

I got home and Lexi and Stefan had clearly been listening in on our conversation so I just said "So, what do you think because I'm definitely going no doubt as Klaus has done me so many favors and has promised me protection?" "No, no no no no no and NO!" Lexi yelled with Stefan nodding his head in agreement. "Well, Fine then but Klaus, Elijah, Kol, Rebekah, and I set off tomorrow morning at 09:30 am, so I'm going to pack!" 

It was the next morning, 07:30 am I walk elegantly down the stairs and made myself some pancakes. After breakfast, I dressed in some warm clothes as it was October and I went to go to say my goodbyes."Goodbye Stefan, I love you and will miss you dearly." "Bye Alexia I will miss you too." "And Zachary, I will miss you too my old friend." "Tell Damon that I said I miss him when he's back in town please Stefan I will come to visit the same day." "You can tell him yourself because you're not leaving, Pheonix, "Stefan said angrily.  "Stefan, I'm 22 years old I can do what I want." I groaned, "Well, Damon won't forgive you for going to live with our biggest enemy." Stefan explained. "Damon will understand that it's the best thing for me, Stefan, I don't want or need your protection anymore so cut it out," I said rudely whilst unlocking the door. Stefan grabbed my arm forcefully "This is what you wanted you better remember that because when you come running back here in tears because Klaus blew you off I'm not taking the fall for your actions." Stefan said as a concerned parent would. I ran out the door and off into the horizon The Mikaelsons and I went...
