Chapter 8. Forbidden Love

Elijah's Pov~ 

"Kol gave you my journal didn't he?" I asked. "Mhm," she nodded back with a long glare into my eyes, I had never noticed how divine her eyes were until now. I looked over, "Niklaus," I hugged my brother like never before, "Welcome back brother!" he said squeezing me tightly, I never thought Klaus had affection but I guess so. 

Kol's Pov~

I walked down the stairs and I saw this look in Elijah's eyes, I knew that look, He was in love, "Brother! How lovely to see you again! Well, let's get you some blood, maybe, fresh blood right from the vein?" I said to my brother making an excuse to get him out of the house, "Erm, yes Kol," Elijah replied while getting up from the old table. Rebekah standing outside of Pheonix's bedroom door, I nodded at her and she did back, Elijah and I strolled out of the door, and away we went. 

Pheonix's Pov~ 

"Hey...Rebekah?" I said with a tone of questioning in my voice, "Well, you and Elijah ay? I mean kinda cute but eh..." She said snarkily, "I don't know how he feels because Kol took him "out to feed" but I'm sure they're doing the exact same thing you are doing to me right now so just get to the point Rebekah." I said in a much higher voice, "Ok, Fine, If Elijah were to ask you to be his Girlfriend what would you say?" She asked...

Elijah's Pov~

"Kol, I know we're not here for me to drink, I'm not that stupid, not like Finn." I said sharply to my little brother, "And I know it's about Pheonix kissing me." I continued. "Oh, alright then, If Pheonix were to-," He said slowly with me interrupting him, "Were to what ask me to go out with her because I fancy her and she read my journal because you all thought I was dead and not coming back? Not likely." I replied with a sorrowful attitude, "That isn't what I was going to say." My little brother explained. "Mhm, Oh really then what was it you were going to so poetically say about Pheonix and I?" I asked with a hint of agitation lingering in my vocal cords, "Uh..Um... Ok maybe I was going to ask that but...Look what I'm trying to get through to you is that you fancy her she clearly fancies you otherwise why on earth would she have kissed you and said she was in love with you?" He asked me which made sense I guess. "Ok, maybe you're right Kol and if she were to, you know, ask me out or anything of the sort I would unhesitantly agree but it won't ever happen, it's highly unlikely due to the fact from the start of history or as long as I can remember men have made the "first move" if you like so it's my duty to ask her ok," I explained consistently to my younger brother who was no less then a meter away from myself. "But even so, It would never happen on Niklaus',  Stefan's, or Damon's accord." I said again, "What do you mean brother? What happened while I was on the other side?" My brother asked trembling in his voice, "Niklaus', Stefan, Damon, and I made a deal," I replied, "What kind of deal?" He asked once more. "We swore that in any circumstance, no Mikaelson and Salvatore could ever love one another." 

Pheonix's Pov~ 

"Rebekah, do you really think it's appropriate for you and I to be talking about your brother's love life?" I asked raising one eyebrow, "Highly." she replied with a confused but yet concerned look smeared across her face. "Ok, well if you do insist, I would very unhesitantly say yes as I do indeed fancy him," I replied with my face fading from a light shade of peach to a pinkish scarlet red. "But if you have an objection or a snarky response then I suggest now would be a splendid time to share," I asked, with maybe too much attitude but shes Rebekah she can deal with it I thought while waiting for the comeback. "No, Nothing surprisingly," She said in shock herself while getting up and hugging me. 

Rebekah's Pov~ 

"Um... Ok, Pheonix why don't you go and freshen up or do something because I have to make a very short yet important phone call, Ok?" I asked with a slight slither of a convivial tone in my voice, She nodded in response. I ran to one of the many kitchens with my heels clicking on the wooden floor of the lounge area. I called Kol, "Rebekah we have a problem, a profoundly towering obstacle." Kol said before I could get a word in "Do tell." I replied "Elijah, Klaus, Damon, and Stefan made a deal back when I was on the other side. They promised no Mikaelsons and Salvatores could ever fall in love, for example, Hope and Lizzie or Josie the Salvatore Saltzman twins, in exchange for the Mikaelsons to be able to have any amount of blood supplied to them, Now at the time it seemed like a great idea to Nik and Eli but by the time both of our brothers met Phe it destroyed them completely." Kol replied with a mournful voice.
