-The Day Before D-DAY-

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Villa Camilla Block 24, Lot 3
October 18, 2020
10:00 AM

"Liberty, what are your plans tomorrow? It's your birthday," A middle-aged woman asked her daughter who's now chopping a medium-rare steak with a kitchen knife.

"We're in a pandemic, Hun, she'll be celebrating it here." the man sitting in the middle part of the table said with final authority in his voice.

Liberty, on the other hand, didn't react instead she reached for the pitcher of strawberry juice and pour it into her glass mug. She's used to this kind of scenario, her mom asking what she wants and her dad making the decision, right, great isn't it?

You shouldn't have bothered asking me if Dad's still the one deciding.

Liberty rolled her eyes in a not-so-obvious way. Her forehead knitted when she saw another fork on her plate and some of her steak, who she chopped with all her heart, was now gone missing.

"JR, you brat, give me back my steak," Liberty said, glaring at her brother who is smiling widely while munching the piece of steak Liberty chopped.

Burping, JR laughed at her making her more annoyed.

"It's all gone now," JR said sticking his tongue out.

"Get me another one or I'll slit that big fat stomach of yours," Liberty said, restraining herself from yelling and kicking her brother's ass out.

"Liberty Hererro! Watch your goddamn words," the voice of Liberty's Dad thundered around the whole dining room, making her silent and drink the strawberry juice from the glass mug.

"Liberty, why don't you be like your sister, Karen? She's in the elite section and to top that, she's an ace. She's also well-mannered and she dresses elegantly, you...what even are those clothes you are wearing? You should follow your sister's steps, right Darling?" her Mom added, before gazing to her sister, Karen, who's now smiling proudly while Mom is patting its back.

Liberty rolled her eyes once again before talking, "You mean, I should be as lazy as her and be an irresponsible older sister like her? Is that you what you mean, Mom?" she sarcastically said as she 'elegantly' chopped a new piece of steak and eat it.

But it seems like the voice in her head can't reach the people in front of her, it was as if she's being held inside her mind, making it its prison.

Their dinner went off the way it always did until she was left at the table, alone. She started gathering up the utensils, making a loud eerie sound. She went straight to the kitchen with all the plates and glasses in her hands.

Liberty turned the faucet on and started washing the dishes like she always does. Humming her favorite song, Sign of the Times by Harry Styles.

As Liberty washes the dishes, her glasses always slid down from her sweaty nose, so she had to use her elbows to put them back to place since her hands are full of bubbles.

Putting back the plates to where it belongs, a voice from behind her talked.

"Can I go to your room later?" Karen asked Liberty as she opens the fridge and grabbed ice cream.

Liberty made a face, "Why?" she asked, fixing her glasses.

"Cause why not? I'm your ate," Karen replied in a matter of a fact tone.

This girl, has her own damn room, why share with mine? Piste nayawa.

Grunting, Liberty nodded her head in defeat. Like she can do something about her 'great' sister.

Liberty's Room

"Liberty, can you get water for me?" Karen ordered her.

They're now in her room. Karen is on her bed while Liberty, the 'owner' of the room is lying on the soft carpet with her horny pet, Saturday.

"Ate, I'm doing my modules for heaven's sake," She complained earning a glare from Karen.

"You see, I'm having a video call with my friends, its just a little favor, and you cant do it?" Karen said making Liberty roll her eyes.

Oh yeah, video calling your friends in my room is more important than my modules who are completely blank and lonely, right.

As if she could say those words, she has no guts to. Liberty lazily sat up and head straight to the door leaving Saturday fucking a stuffed bear toy.

She goes downstairs and heads towards the kitchen. And to her surprise, a small midget is 'nanhaharaw'.

"JR, what the fuck? We just finished eating dinner and you're eating again?" Liberty snapped as she grabs JR's arm away from the fridge.

JR ignored Liberty and continued eating the donut-- wait donut? Choco butternut donuts?

"JR! That's mine!" Liberty angrily shouted, "Why do you keep stealing my food? You fat pig," she hissed at him before throwing the plastic cup she's holding.

JR just stick his tongue out, mocking her.

"Nyenye, you're also fat ate," JR said, teasing her.

I know you fucking pig, I know that very well, no need to tell me!

She threw another plastic cup towards JR but then he dodged it making it hit the wall-- or so she thought, not until she heard a familiar squeal, from her annoying ate.

"Liberty!"

"Hey, chill. It's your fault for not dodging," Liberty murmured, trying to keep it to herself but Karen's ears are so big-like how big of a pain she is.

"How come it's my fault?! You threw it to me!" Karen shouted, pointing its index finger to her.

"I threw it to JR but JR dodged it, he's so magaling, and you're not so you--" Liberty was immediately cut off by a loud slam.

Their father slammed the table with its book. While her mother is now clinging into his father's arms, are they-?

"Goodness gracious, mga istorbo!"
