Chapter 5 - Dorms

  After dinner, the headmaster spoke to the Gryffindors and told them I could Hang out in their common room if I wanted to but at night I would have to go back to the Ravenclaw common room. After that one of the boys from Ravenclaw escorted me to my own common room. The Ravenclaw common area was one of the highest placed common rooms in the castle. It's Located near Dumbledore's office on the fifth floor of the west wing of the castle. The boy opened the door for me, a group of girls crowded around me and asked me questions. Then another girl walked up to me and said "hi I'm Luna follow me to your room." "Wait my room? I have a room all to myself? Why?" I asked nervously. "Well all the beds for the third years were taken, so the loft we usually put random furniture in the rest of Ravenclaw turned it into a bedroom for you. See the stairs in the common room lead down to the regular dorms, but the metal spiral staircase next to the bookshelves leads again to the loft, here I show you," As Luna lead me up the stairs and through the door, it opened up to a beautiful small circled loft that had a coned ceiling, three floor-to-ceiling windows, A big bed against one wall, a desk on one wall, and a closet. And there was a fireplace a couple of feet away from the door. I gasped "It's beautiful Luna, Oh you guys brought Rodger up?" "yup, well I leave you to it, goodnight," "Oh um goodnight..wait can I decorate this a little bit?" I asked "yes you can,"

After Luna left the room I put up fairy lights with pictures hanging on them, I put up a coat rack on the wall, I put two fluffy chairs in front of the floor-to- ceilings windows along with a small coffee table in between the chairs, I magiced some curtains for the windows. I set up my book self and hung up my pictures. I put my robes away. Then at last I sat down in my fluffy chairs to read Melanie's Letter she wrote

Dear Nina,

I got your letter that you're going to Hogwarts. I'm really excited to see you. My summer has been dreadfully boring. I basically sat inside and practiced spells all summer since my parents were working at the Ministery they decided to get me a cat his name is pickles, Oh by the way nice bird but he needs to learn how to land because when I got your letter  I was sitting in the dining room and that bird flew through my dad's morning paper and landed in a plate of eggs.
