The Band Rivals

*Tyler's point of view*

"Hey guys! Welcome to Teennews! I'm your host Tess Truman!! Today we are with the 5 star, must see, Australian punk band....3D3G!!" The interview said into the microphone. We all smiled.

"Well Tess, it's great to be here!" Aria replied smiling her face off. Bella stood there awkwardly. She's very camera shy.

"Alright, now for your interview! I'm going to start with asking general questions to the entire band. Then I'll ask some questions individually! Is that ok?" She asked smiling. I nodded. I literally can't believe this is happening!! "So, when did you guys meet exactly?"

"Well, it's actually a pretty funny story.....it all started in detention! I was so used to detention because well I'm a rebel. Aria, being the retard she is, broke the grand piano!" I said laughing slightly. She shot me a glare. "And then brainiac over here," I nodded with my head towards Bella. "she yelled at a teacher for getting a 99.5 instead of an 100." She stuck her tongue out at me. I did the same back. "Since we all went to a music academy, the room was filled with instruments and I guess we just clicked. We were all stuck in detention for 3 days and in those 3 days, 3D3G was born!" I said sniffling dramatically, which resulted in all of us laughing.

"Aww that's so sweet!" Tess said smiling fakest smile ever. "Do you have any rivals in the music industry?" We glanced at one another.

Silence.

"Well, I mean I guess not. There's not really that many other punk bands out there." Bella said ruffling her hair. I smiled a reassuring smile at Bella, because I knew she was going to pass out any moment now.

"Erm.....ok! Let's do individual questions! So Tyler, are the rumors true?" She asked. She was referring to the horrid rumors that me and Luke Hemmings were together in some way.

I groaned.

"No and they never will be true!! Rule number one of a band: Don't date other bands or other band's members!" I said angrily. Tess nodded timidly.

She continued on, asking those two questions. I wasn't paying attention. I was lost in thought.

We are always one step ahead of 5SOS. If we play Madison Square Garden, they play Madison Square Garden after us. If we open for Fall Out Boy, they open for Fall Out Boy after us. They live in our shadow, and that's how we like it!

"Tyler!" Tess asks waving a hand in front of my face.

"I'm sorry! What was the question?"

"I asked about your family. Like how many siblings and stuff." She said smiling. How dare she smile!! My family is a very touchy subject. I don't like to talk about it at all!

"My family..." I repeated. All the horrible memories came flooding back and I almost shed a tear. I held it in though. "My family..." I repeated again.

"Tyler, doesn't like to talk about them! It's a touchy subject!" Aria defended. That statement just made Tess try harder.

It was true though, my family was a touchy subject. No one knows the story, not even Aria or Bella!! I will never tell anyone, ever!!

The camera man put up one finger, which meant one minute left.

"Well, that's all the time we have today! Thank you for coming guys!! And don't forget to check out 3D3G's new songs on iTunes!! I'm Tess Truman and this has been Teennews!!" She ended smiling.
