I got out of the car with tears in my eyes after the months that i havent seen my cousin. Its felt like years, her hair is bright and her face iluminates the same light with her expression.
"Didi" i say under my breath, the tears are threatening to fall onto my cheeks. Fighting them, i walk over and hug her "happy birthday apollo!" i say to her. Excitement filling my face.
"How have you been!" She asks. Her makeup covered face in a toothy grin. "Good, i like your makeup" i say, she takes a good look at me, as if taking in every detail before responding. "Thank you, you have more freckles than last time i saw you"
"Thanks?..... I dont know how to respond to that but okay" i laugh. We get into my aunts car and she starts driving off towards her house. Me and didi laugh our asses off on the way and we go up to her room when we get there.
I turn on despacito 2 and we sing along. "Happy birthday apollo!!"
