Chapter 9

A/N: That's your battle outfit plus Brian as a weapon!? Yes. Today Bri is finally introduced in his weapon form.

 

I don't know how or why, I just know that they're after the Kishin. After what Kid told me--the Ghost Ship captain and collecting souls, the Kishin so powerful that Lord Death was forced to imprison it in it's own skin-- I knew that something like this would happen. It was one of my feelings. And they're never wrong.

My fall soon comes to a stop and I land on my feet, as well as the other meisters. The weapons however, did not. Soul was quick to notice and made a comment.

"The meisters landed on they're feet and the weapons didn't. I guess we really are different."

The atmosphere sends chills up my spine. Who wouldn't get chills? Especially knowing what's really happening. And if I look around me, all the soul-sensing meisters look scared straight. Kid especially. He probably put together the pieces like me.

"I'm sensing some witch souls up there. One, Two.. Eight of them! And the Demon Sword also." Kid says. Even though he ended his sentence at a sharp, I can tell he's at a lost for words.

Where we are shakes abruptly; a similar feeling to part of an aftershock.

"What was that!? What're they doing up there!?" Brian ask out to anyone who'll answer. Most likely expecting me to do so, weather I know or not. Before I can answer him, Stein speaks.

"Listen up kids. We've got an emergency on our hands. Below the DWMA sleeps a Kishin. The source of all madness in the world. You should know our school nurse, Medusa, is a witch. She snuck into the academy to revive the Kishin."

'I knew it. But how.. and why!? Why would anyone do something like that. Madness would spread throughout the world like an epidemic.'

"We must stop this at all costs." He finishes.

"Doctor Medusa is actually a witch Professor? That's crazy." Maka asks him. I expect her voice to be horror-stricken, but it's calm, not flat, but calm. Maybe a little anxious.

"And this Kishin too. How's something like that beneath the school?" Soul ask, his voice on the loud side and unbelieving.

"It's true." Kid seems to have found his voice however, it's slightly shaky with fear or anger. Or both. It's hard to say.

"My father explained everything to me. In order to keep the Kishin sleeping safe and sound, my father cannot ever leave the academy." He evens out his voice once he started to explain.

"Huh? So there's a reason Lord Death never goes anywhere?" Black Star asks incredulously. " And I always thought he just wasn't a people person."

We've been standing here for too long.

"Let's get moving." I say.

"We can't let Sids's quick thinking go to waste." Brian finishes for me.

"All of you follow me. I'll take us to the entrance that leads underground." Stein says.

It's all up to us now.

"This is the entrance we need. Our enemy is powerful. If you aren't prepared for what lies ahead, then you may die." Stein lights a cigarette, putting out the match afterwards. "If you wanna turn around, better do it now. Are you ready to fight against fear itself?" He turns to look at us. "When you cross beyond that door, let your souls make the decision for you."

Everyone straightens up their battle clothes.

"We're coming!"

"Good."

We all walk through the entrance. Our weapons transforming into our hands.

Brian is an Ammunition weapon. One of the definitions of ammunition is 'Chemicals capable as use of a weapon.' That's what he is. Not only that but he is also apart of the scythe family. So putting the two together and you get an acidifying scythe.

Depending on the meister, Brian can be very powerful or very weak. And in this case,

He is an extremely powerful weapon.
