"Hey kiddo, get up"

Akaguro said from Tsuki's bedroom door,

"we have stuff to do".

"Ight I'm coming Dad"

the girl said as she got ready. Today Akaguro was teaching his daughter to fight so she could defend herself on the streets when he wasn't around. As soon as Tsuki was ready and the dining area was cleared they began.

"Dad I'm tiny compared to you and you think I'm supposed to do this!"

Tsuki whined.

"Listen, what do the pros say?"

he rolled his eyes

"umm... Go Beyond Plus Ultra?!"

she replied.

"Exactly. Now come on. Your kick is high but not strong enough to hurt anyone, your punch needs a shit ton of work too"

he stared down at the girl who was sitting on the floor.

"Isn't a blade enough Dad. Remember I'm freaking tiny"

she exaggerated calling herself tiny, more to the point she was small but not tiny. She was in fact 4.9.

"You won't always have a blade, now get up and try to hurt me this time"he sighed.

After what felt like forever of training, I finally got a strong enough kick to render an opponent immobile for at least a minute.

"You did good my vigilante, keep it up and you'll get there"

my Dad said with hope. I was enthusiastic and tired so we sat down to watch the afternoon news. The reporter began

"Special report: in south end there was an incident with an unlicensed van..."

the reporter went on until I heard-

"the infamous symbol of the crescent moon now has an identification of moonlight artist. We have suspicions that this is a lead up to something major, please keep safe and report to officials if you have any information".

The reporter finished and I was about to squeal until dad looked at me and said

"kid you gotta be careful cause you've made a name for yourself"

stating firmly to keep out of major trouble.

I was happy to know that Tokyo was now aware of the name behind the scandals and from now I was going to shock the system. My plan as such is: use Rairakku as my 'identity' and go for a hero licence. As I say

"the villains know my name but not the face and the heroes know my face but not my name"

or that will be the case I hope. My next plan is to surprise everyone citywide by doing something nice and not as destructive or threatening as previous times. The question on the other hand is 'what should I do?' Dad assured me that if he thinks of something he will tell me, knowing each other though... we wouldn't have a damn clue for the life of us.

"Hey Dad, I have a question... "

I said as I walked to the living room the next day.

"What is it kid"

he asks.

"Can I go to UA and get my hero licence? You and Lemillion can get me recommendations"

I ask hopefully.

"Why?"

Dad looked at me with a serious impression.

"I'll go as Rairakku of course but I want to do something more than being the cause of confusion, and it may help secure my destined future. You'd understand right?"

At this point I was about to back out but I couldn't at least I thought, but I was determined.

"Out of the question"

my dad stated firmly

"both you or I are not going public that would mean a greater risk".

I felt a sense of relief but at the same time I was annoyed at Dad's response but I understood.

"Ok then I understand,"

I said to Akaguro. I decided to ask him again one day soon before next semester.

"Tsuki, come here"

Dad called out. I went to him as soon as I could.

"Yeah I'm here".

"Good, now we are gonna do some training,"

he said enthusiastically.

"Whyyy"

I complained.

"Because you're not strong enough, you're quick on your feet and nimble but it leaves a lot to be desired when fighting. Now try to do some damage"

My Dad was serious about training me so I had to follow along as much as I didn't want to. I was annoyed enough to let it get the better of me so I went along and kicked my dad in the stomach as hard as I could.

"Ow fuck, well done kid"

my Dad smiled through pain and I apologised instantly.

"It's fine, I knew you had it in you but you were holding back. Can you try a punch?"

he asked.

"I mean I'll give it a go"

I replied. I made myself angry again by thinking about the news segment with Lemillion, Dad and I, and the fact I wasn't allowed to go to UA. I went in and punched him on the shoulder rendering his arm motionless...

After my Dad recovered he smiled at me

"I was not expecting that my vigilante. Keep that up next time".

I hoped that the 'next time' I didn't go so hard or made myself as angry as I did.

"Sorry Dad I didn't mean to hurt you, I just forced it out-".

"Listen Tsuki, in a proper fight you need to go all out sometimes to pull off maximum damage and not exhaust yourself. You have speed and stamina, we need to work on strength and your ability to predict your opponent's moves"

Dad told me. I knew he was a master at this type of thing so I trusted that what he was doing was for the better so I took in everything I could. Later that day I was tired and Dad may or may not have gained some bruises that I apologized for before anyone could comprehend what happened. We had a relaxing afternoon while I read a book and scrolled through Tumblr and dad went about cleaning and sharpening his blades.

I decided that I would ask my Dad again if I could go to UA hoping that I proved I am capable of looking after myself. I walked up to my Dad as confidently as possible and took a deep breath.

"Dad, can I go to UA..." I asked.
