On edge

It had been weeks since Glimmer and Bow had bailed on Adora and Catra, it was of course planned but Catra and Adora didn't need to know that

In fact, Glimmer and Bow thought of it best if they never found out at all! until a certain point in time of course

But ever since that outing Glimmer and Bow had been noticing changes between the 2 of their friends

They had noticed how close they had gotten, I mean, don't be mistaken they had noticed how close the pair had previously acted and were fully living for it, but it was now as if it had gotten to a new level of extent

The blonde and brunette were constantly caught exchanging sweet nothings of whispers between themselves, and the added minute to their longing hugs, it seemed pretty small but to Glimmer and Bow, it was anything but that

It had been going on for the last few weeks, seeming to progress over the many days

Until a normal day at school had occurred, it was lunch time and Bow and Glimmer were waiting at the squads usual table for the second half of their group to arrive

Glimmer's POV:

Me and Bow sat down at our usual table and started talking when we realized Catra and Adora had not yet made it to the cafeteria

"Hey, where do you think Adora and Catra are?" Bow asked me before taking a bite into a turkey sandwich he had packed onto his tray 

"I don't know, making out in a bathroom somewhere" I blankly said, just barely suppressing a laughing fit

Bow chocked, just keeping his food from jumping from his mouth. It took him a bit to recover, but when he did he had started berating me with scoldings

"Glimmer!" He said

"What? It's probably true" I replied, taking a bite into my salad

"Well yeah but you can't say that!" He said, making me go wide eyed and snicker

"See? Even you agree with me!" I started, looking up from my plate and at the dark boy

"So I don't know why you are scolding me!" I laughed

"First off, I a'm not scolding you, and second off, I'm disagreeing with you because we shouldn't be making those kind of jokes about our friends! whether it's true or not." He told me sternly

"But-" I started, before I was quick to be interrupted

"No buts" Bow interrupted, as he finished and looked down at his sandwich and began eating again

I shake my head and get back to my own lunch, another 10 minutes or so go by and I start becoming genuinely worried about my 2 friends, I look up from my tray to see if they had arrived yet. I look around the people filled room not spotting the pair of familiar faces

Just as I a'm about to go back to my lunch and probably text the two, I see 2 people approach the rooms doorway, regaining my attention as the pair walks closer, becoming completely clear now 

Catra and Adora

I'm about to tell Bow at the realization when out of the corner of my eye I spot Adora inching closer to the Cat girl, making me look back up at them, just catching the moment Adora placed her lips on the brunettes forehead, making the both of them giggle for a bit before pulling away and walking over to us

I quickly turn my attention away as not to get caught, feeling embarrassed as they arrive at the table and sit down next to us smiley and giggling

We soon engage in conversation, they don't pay much attention to me for a good part of their conversation, until Adora asks me a question

"Hey Glimmer! How has your day been so far?" She happily asked, making my head lurch up from looking down at my tray, as it had been the entirety of talking

"Uh, Uhm, Good!" I stuttered before giving a suspicious and strange tone in my answer

I genuinely thought Adora would question me but then I remembered she was a dumb jock lesbian and that she wouldn't notice and go back to talking to the group. Which is precisely what happened

The entirety of lunch period I couldn't shake the thought from my head

But I couldn't remember it exactly, had I just been imagining it? I hated questioning what I had seen. Me and Bow always liked to tease them about liking each other and we both had a 50/50 feeling they did but me nor Bow had ever thought they would start dating!

Atleast not anytime soon...

But the actual thought of it surprised me

I had barely finished my meal when the bell went off signaling the end of lunch, I threw away my leftovers. me and the others had separate classes, I had my own separate one and so did bow, so did Catra and Adora. We went off to our classes and I could just barely focus on my own! the hours soon went by from class to class until the day had finally ended and I started heading back to my dorm.

I decided to take the long way back to my dorm building  through the campus park as to get things off my mind, I put my headphones in and turned on some music as I walked

Catra's POV:

After Adora had finished her football practice I decided I would walk with her back to our dorm.

We didn't talk very much since my mind was too clouded, it had been since lunch.

Me and Adora walked to the end of the hallway, we had spotted our table with Crop top and Sparkles, As I a'm about to walk over, Adora tugs at my arm slightly, cause me to stop as she quickly steps in front of me and places a peck on my forehead, a light pink paints my face as she giggles, I stare at her, soon breaking out into a laughing fit. After we both calm down, we start walking back to the table, but just as I pay my attention back to the table, I see Sparkles head just barely finish turning away from our direction? Had she seen us?

I snap out of  the memory as Adora says "Were back" as she unlocks the door to our dorm, I push the thought away from my mind, until night rolls around, me and Adora finish our separate showers and decide to watch some TV, the dumb owl show that Adora likes. I guess I like it too but After a little while, Adora wraps her arm around me, placing a kiss on my forehead, as the memory rushes back to me

"Adora?" I say

"mmhm?" She mumbles, not breaking contact from the screen

"I think...I think Sparkles saw us" Her eyes widen, and I can see fear run across her

"Catra, are- are you sure? she says turning her head towards me

"I don't know, but we can't confront her about it" I say, becoming slightly worried

"It'll be ok Catra, they probably don't know" Adora says, hugging me

Glimmer's POV

I make it back to my dorm, I unlock the door and walk in. I set my bag down next to the couch and flop down onto it, I close my eyes for a moment before I hear a voice greet me

"Hey Glimmer!" 

I open my eyes to be greeted with the sight of bow, I smile at him until the memory from lunch comes back to me, I look down at the floor in front of me, and apparently I had a disturbed look on my face because Bow confronted me about it

"Glimmer? Are you ok?" He asked, slightly concerned

I looked back up at him, wondering what to tell him, until I finally spoke

"Bow, I need to tell you something"
