"Angelina Weasley- I like the sound of that," Katie remarked at breakfast the next day. I smirked as Angelina went bright red.

"Guys we're only dating- quit acting like we're getting married," she said and covered her face to hide her blush.

It didn't help much.

"When Miles started dating Ethan we all acted like they would get married," Alicia said when winced.

"Too bad he was married to like 20 other girls," I tried to joke but got sad looks in return. "Guys! I'm over him- I don't give two shits about it anymore," I said with a groan. It was true.

"As you should," Ginny said grabbing a seat next to me. I haven't seen much of her lately and I missed her sharp tongue.

"Glad you're finally done with that idiot," she added and hissed at Ethan who was too busy making out with a brunette in Slytherin.

"What did I ever see in him?" I sighed and took a bite of my breakfast.

George and the boys entered the Great Hall next and I waved them over.

"Guess what I overheard just now," Oliver said to us and I raised an eyebrow.

"Miles- you got a little something..." Fred said and leaned closer to me. I could smell his essence of cinnamon & vanilla as he gently brushed the corner of my mouth.

"Thanks," I said and he grinned at me.

"You didn't really have anything on your face- I just wanted to touch you," he said in a low voice to him and I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah right."

"Honestly!" he said and I shook my head with a chuckle.

"Anyways- what'd you hear, Wood?" I asked Oliver who was waiting for everyone to stop chatting and listen to him.

"I was say-"

"Oliver, when are you going to ask your broom out?" Alicia wondered aloud and we all cracked up- besides Oliver.

"I was talking," he said with a tone of annoyance.

"Yeah, yeah, I don't care- I just want to know when the plan the wedding for you two," she replied waving it off and I chuckled.

"Miles!" Oliver whined and I stopped smiling.

"Let him finish," I said gently to the group.

"Ok, thanks, Miles- as I wa-" he began.

"OWLS!" a bunch of Hufflepuff's called out and Oliver cursed.

"Damn you!" he shouted at them and Cedric told him to quiet down.

"Mum sent us a letter," George said gleefully as one of the Weasley owls delivered him a letter. I let him, Fred, & Ron skim the letter before asking any questions.

Fred let out a low whistle, "Sweet."

"What is it?" I asked, the curiosity getting the best of me.

"Wood, Diggory, and Potter are staying with us for the holidays," Fred answered and I nodded.

"What about Miles and I- did Mrs. Weasley say it was ok for us to come. I'm sure I asked her-" Hermine began.

"We could never forget you two- we need Miles to help us pull pranks and we need Mione to check over our homework," Ron said and Hermione sighed.

"Good- I wasn't looking forward to writing another owl."

"I thought you were going to Egypt with your family," I said to Cedric. "Mum's sick so she's letting me stay with the Weasley's instead," he shrugged.

"I hope she gets better."

I looked over at Oliver- who looked like he just gave up on life.

"Oops, sorry, Ollie- better tell us next time- class is about to start," I said looking at the big clock above the High Table. He sighed in defeat but nodded.

"Class dismissed," Professor Sprout announced and I sighed in relief. It was almost my turn to face the Spiky Bush and I hadn't been practicing how to stun on.

Fred- who was one of the students who had to face it- groaned as one of its spikes hit him on the arm.

"Freddie," I said and grabbed the bottle of Dittany that was on my table. Professor Sprout told us to put it on the area that was hit and wait a few minutes for the wound to heal.

"Roll up your sleeves," I commanded him and he obeyed.

It was chaotic as everyone chatted and left- the rest of the gang had been in deep conversation that they hadn't noticed Fred and I wasn't with them.

"Fuck," he moaned.

"Stop being dramatic- the plant isn't old enough to shoot deadly venom," I rolled my eyes.

He raised an eyebrow at me, "You know your stuff, Miles."

"One of us has to," I scoffed, referring to our crazy, stupid friend group. "Or we would've been kicked out a while ago for failing."

"True," he said and watched me carefully touch him and apply the Dittany to him.

"It might sting- tell me once the wound clears up," I told him and started to pack up my own things. I could feel him watching me but I ignored it.

"Miles," he started softly and I spun around to look at him.

"I think... I think I smelled you in the Amortentia," he said slowly and leaned off the table to walk closer to me.

"You think?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

Play it cool, Granger. It could just be a coincidence.

"Lavender-" he stepped closer to me, "and books."

Sounds- er smells like me.

"What else did you smell might I ask?" I said trying to change the subject.

"Quidditch stuff but don't change the subject, Miles."

We were really close now.

Fuck- I can't be catching feelings for one of my best friends.

Damn it.

I think I am.

"I smelled cinnamon & vanilla my Amortentia," I blurted out and he smirked.

"I had a feeling you did."

"Did you?" I was unable to hide my shock.

"No, I didn't," he admitted sheepishly and I chuckled.

"Miles," he took a breath and I looked into his welcoming brown eyes.

I waited for him to continue but it looked like he was arguing with himself.

He took a deep breath and finally opened his mouth to speak.

"Fuck it- I think I love you," he breathed and closed the tiny distance between us.

Hawt.

Also, I don't really know if Dittany is supposed to be used for that plant but act like I'm right :))
