y/n, being the tiktok junkie she is, wasn't expecting this.

after a night of scrolling though tiktok, she somehow found her way into couple tiktok. you know, where the girls do challenges like randomly holding a boys hand or showing off their cute dates. she just thought it would be fun.

it wasn't. it was incredibly , extremely, painfully, awkward. it started off well enough. she walked up to iida, lacing his hand with hers like it was nothing. he, of course, assumed she was trying to shake his hand. he spent the next 17 minutes explaining to her how to shake hands, and the history behind it, and even how to properly shake hands in different social settings.

next was aoyoma. she bounced up to him, complimenting his hair as she grabbed his hand. he brought it up to his face, examining her nails in distaste. "who the hell paints your nails, y/n? a gorilla?" she pulled her hand back with an offended gasp, looking down at her fairly old, and chipped nail polish. it's wasn't that bad... right?

her experience with kirishima was when it started to go downhill. don't be mistaken, it was funny as hell, but it's when all hell started to break loose. she walked to her group of friends, who were chatting about god knows what. "hey guys!" she smiled, standing behind said redhead. she grabbed his hand as she waited for a reply. "hey y/n—YOOOO WHAT?" sero pointed to the twos hands, kirishima looked confused, kaminari was practically short circuiting, mina was fangirling, and bakugou just continued skimming through some pamphlet he had been reading through, eyebrows drawn together. she let go of the slightly reddened shark boy, with a laugh, saying that it had been a joke.

todoroki was slightly awkward, but still completely hilarious. she did as she had with all the others, walking up to him out of nowhere, and grabbing his hand like it was nothing. "y/n. why are you touching me?" she stifled a laugh, looking up at him with faux nonchalance. "because youre my friend, todoroki." she shrugged. "i hate people." he mumbled, shaking her hand off before walking in the other direction. she clapped her hand over her mouth in an attempt to contain her laughter. she swiveled around, her eyes meeting katsuki's, who immediately turned and walked the other way.

this brings us to now. in the painfully awkward situation. she had merely dont the same thing to midoriya she had to all the others. she grabbed his hand, played dumb, and watched his reaction. "u-uh, y/n? you're um, y-you're holding my hand?" she almost felt bad, he sounded so scared. "mhm." she responded, uncaring as she looked around the room aimlessly. "oh okay sorry." his face burned as he stared at his shoes. she let go of his hand, pushing his shoulder lightly. "i'm sorry, izuku. i didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. it's a joke, i swear." she laughed a little "o-oh! no! you didn't! it's just, i just, um," he trailed off, also laughing.

her eyes caught katsuki's again. only this time he didn't look away. and he looked pissed. "hold on, katsuki's pissed again, i gotta go save some poor orphan probably. bye izuku!" she smiled, waving at him before walking over to bakugou. "hey king explosion murder, what's got you so pissy at this hour?"

"nothing." he answered shortly, never breaking the intense eye contact between them. "bullshit. tell me." she narrowed her eyes at him. they were having a full on staring contest now. this was the awkward part. his angry stare boring into her eyes like he was murdering her soul in a million ways, just with his eyes. he remained quiet for a long time before she finally blinked. "fuck you. i win." he spoke, though he didn't sound victorious as he turned to leave. she rolled her eyes, grabbing his hand and pulling him back to her. she didn't notice that she hadn't let go once he looked at her. "tell me what's wrong."

"nothing." he responded again. and finally it clicked for her. a small smile formed on her lips. "katsuki, are you mad that i was holding izuku's hand?" she tilted her head slightly, the smug smile remaining. "pft. no, why the hell would i be mad?" he rolled his eyes, shaking his head. he really was a shitty liar. "okay, katsu. let's go to lunch, yeah? they should be already there." she smiled, tightening her grip on his hand as she pulled him behind her.

he didn't seem to mind though.
