Chapter Seven: The Search

Doctor!! Help!!" You screamed as you were being dragged away by someone. "(Y/n)!!" The Doctor screamed and started running after you but was quickly knocked out by some guy in a black outfit. "Doctor!!" You screeched as you watched him fall to the ground. "Shut up!" Said the guy who was dragging you away.

~~~~Two Hours Before~~~~

You and The Doctor decided to go to America just after WWI happened. You were right now walking through the streets of Phoenix, Arizona. Everything there was run down and empty. You felt an unnerving feeling of being watched. You gripped The Doctor's hand tighter and whispered "Doctor, I have a feeling we're being watched." He whispered back "I'm sure it's just a bird or something. There isn't anybody for miles of this place since the war. Don't worry, love." He lifted your hand to his lips and kissed it then let it drop, his hand and yours still intertwined with each other. You then heard a rustling sound and The Doctor jumped in front of you and pulled out his screwdriver and started scanning. "Stay behind me." He whispered Just then, a lizard came scurrying out of an abandoned building. You both jumped back a bit then started laughing. "A lizard. It. Was a lizard." You said still giggling a bit. The Doctor was also chuckling. You both started walking again a little more alert but not panicking or worrying too much. You turned to go into a gas station when you heard the sound of a gun being cocked. You stopped and squeezed The Doctor's hand pulling him to a stop. He turned around and whipped out his sonic and soniced the gun just as it was about to be shot. "What the hell?!" The stranger said looking at the gun and trying again and again. "Run!!" The Doctor screamed. He practically dragged you behind him as you two kept running and running and running for what felt like forever when actually it was just 10 minutes. You were both slowly coming to a stop and The Doctor turned around to check if you were still being followed. Nope. Thank God. You were so out of breath and your chest hurt and it felt like you were breathing icy air. "D-Doctor..." You mumbled out. He wrapped an arm around your waist and put your arm over his shoulders then picked you up bridal style while carrying you into an abandoned motel. "Doctor..." You mumbled even softer. He didn't hear you. You started to see black with stars in your vision squeaking out "Doctor." one last time before completely blacking out. You had passed out.

~~~Doctor's P.O.V~~~

(Y/n) suddenly got very heavy and her head rolled backwards over my arm. "(Y/n), wake up. There's no time for playing around." I chuckled. But she didn't budge. I gently wiggled my arms to try and wake her but still she did not move. I began running to the counter and grabbed a random room key with (Y/n) over my shoulder. I ran up the stairs to the room and unlocked it quickly. It was weird, the elevator didn't work but the electronic locks for the rooms still worked. I ran in and placed (Y/n) on the bed then went to the bathroom and checked for running water. I turned on the faucet and it worked! I grabbed a rag from under the sink and got it damp then ran back to (Y/n) and saw her breathing start to slow. I placed the rag on her neck and forehead and checked her temperature. She was burning up! Then I noticed something so strange. There was...steam...coming off of the rag. I got a little worried and listened to her heartbeat which was very slow as well. I began doing chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth and prayed to the Timelords that she would wake up. It took many many tries but then I heard a murmur under my lips and pulled back. (Y/n)'s eyes were slowly fluttering open. Yes!

~~~Your P.O.V~~~

Your eyes slowly fluttered open and you were quickly embraced in a very tight hug. "Doctor, can't. Breathe." You choked out. He let go immediately and pulled back smiling at you. "What happened? Where are we?" You questioned looking around the room. "We're in a motel. You fainted and I started panicking because when I got a rag and wet it and put it to your forehead, the-there was steam coming off of it. So I did mouth-to-mouth and here you are." He said kind of quickly but you picked it all up. You blushed a little when hearing he did mouth-to-mouth. "Um, is there something wrong with me?" You asked. "No I don't think so. Why are you blushing?" "You looked down and bit your lip to hold back a small smile. "You did mouth-to-mouth to save me?" You asked shyly still not looking up at him. "Yea. Why? Does it bother you? For Timelord's sake, (Y/n) we've had sex before!" He joked a bit. You glanced at him through your (h/l) (h/c) hair and smiled a bit. Then you wrapped your arms around his neck and hugged him. "Thank you for saving me." You smiled then kissed him. It was a long and passionate kiss that felt like it could go on forever.
