Hello there dear readers, I want to apologize for taking so long to update the first chapter. Unfortuantely, I ran into a blank wall mid-way through working on the chapter and havent been able to figure out how to incorporate the rest of my ideas into the story yet. So it might take me a bit to update the second chapter, but I hope that all of you will continue to read and follow the characters throuhout this story. Have a fagtabulous day.

In the ghetto alleys of Seattle, a young woman in her mid-twenties, is heard screaming in fear as she attemps to fend off her attacker, a young man in his early twenties, who looked as if he hadn't shaved or showered in over a year.

"Shut up ya filthy bitch!" he growled in her ear as he yanked his hand back and let swing.

SMACK!
The young womans head snapped to the left as the back of the brutes hand collided with her cheek bone, leaving a bright red and sweltering print on her face. Tears began streaming down the young womans face in agony, as her tormentor smirked with both hands planted firmly on the wall she held herself against, wishing she could just melt into the side of the brick building.

The young man started to reach for the womans purse once more, only to be kneed in the crotch. Sinking to his knees in agony, he snarled disgusting and profound insults at the fleeing womans back.

The young woman had reached the end of the alley, yelling and screaming for help as loud as she could. She suddenly stopped and spun back towards the alley when she heard the click of the saftey.

The man had caught up with her once again, this time with a gun pointed straight at her chest.

The young man looked beyond pissed, "You stupid little slut, that was a bad move on your part back there! I was going to show you mercy but I don't think I want to now."

"P-p-please....I'm b-begging you. I have a s-son at h-home..." the woman begged, dropping to her knees as she started sobbing.

The man suddenly busted out laughing, swinging the weapon wildly as he did so. "You ignorant bitch...HAHAHAHAHA...you think for two seconds, that I give a shit about some measly brat?!"

The young woman snapped from her sobbing and slowly stood up, her eyes changing from hazel to silver, her fangs protruding from her gums with a loud POP!

"Exactly what I was expecting from a lowlife scumbag. Pathetic!" she spat in disgust.

The man halted mid-laughter, instead staring in utter terror and fear at the sight before himself. The woman he had planned on stealing from, who had been begging for her life only seconds before, was now an immortal creature of the night.

The young man spun on his heel, running back in the direction he had come from. Once he reached the other end of the alley, he looked over his shoulder only to find that the vampire, was no where in sight.

He immedietly took a left, running through puddles and dodging trash thrown out previously that week. His heart was beating so fast, he thought it was gonna burst from his chest. His thoughts were racing so frantically, he surprised himself when he got to the escape ladder leading up to his apartment window.

The young man slipped the safety of his gun on, then stuck it in his holster. He then jumped and caught the lower rung of the ladder, and started slowly pulling himself up until both his feet were on the bottom rung. He climbed as quickly as he could till he was just outside his apartment.

The man stood there for a moment or two, trying to catch his breath and relieve the stitch in his side. He pulled a key from his jacket and went to place it in the lock of the window, only to find that it was not only unlocked, but the window was barely open as well.

The young man started sweating profusely, scared further more after the nightmare he swore was just that, a nightmare. He carefully and quietly opened up the window the rest of they way and slipped inside without a sound.

After cautiously checking through every room in the apartment, including all the cupboards in the kitchen and bathroom, he decided to grab his bottle of Canadian Whiskey and a glass from the kitchen he had stached in one of the cupboards.

Suddenly from somewhere in the apartment he heard a muffled thud! The man jumped at the sound accidentally dropping the glass he was holding in his hand on the tile flooring. His hands were suddenly clammy feeling, he decided to take a swig of the whiskey letting it burn his throat as it went down.

He heard a chuckle coming from right behind him, and he whipped around real quick with a serrated blade in hand only to find there was nothing there.

The man started sweating profusely, wiping the back of his hands across his brow repeatedly. His eyes flickered back and forth like a drug user on heroine, searching frantically all over the messy room.

He suddenly spun to his left, slashing the blade through the air. He jerked backwards as a thin spray of blood hit him in the face, having realized the woman he had attacked earlier was right in front of him.

Her eyes were full of hunger, a deep dark hunger that drew every one of her captives in irresistably. As such, was the case with the man. He could feel himself forceably yet painfully, close the gap between himself and the creature. He tried fighting the power she had over his mind and body.

The woman cackled joyfully, rather amused at the humans attempts to break free of her spell. Only it was becoming difficult. The longer she held him under her spell, the harder it was to keep him contained. Yet she had nothing to worry about, for the man was now directly in front of her.

He had fear in his eyes, fear he had never before felt nor imagined possible. He could feel the spell, for it was inhuman and ancient. He could feel his head coming up to face her, as she towered a good few inches above him.

The woman smirked gleefully, "Tsk tsk tsk. You humans always were predictable. Though, I must say......you certainly caught me by surprise with this." she flashed the blade next to the mans face, causing him to flinch even under her spell. She chuckled with amusement when he flinched, "Is the little human afraid? Because you should be."

Suddenly, her eyes flashed with a glimpse of the mans death. His adams apple bobbed as he swallowed in utter fear, knowing full well he was going to die. Next thing he knew, he heard two rather painful and loud popping sounds echo throughout the kitchen, as two dangerously needle-sharp canines protruded from her gums.

If the man's eyes weren't already bugging out of his head before, then they certainly were now. The sight of her canines sent the man's heart racing faster than he thought possible.

The woman grabbed the man by his mangled mess of hair, pushing it to the side so she could have access to the throbbing vein in his neck. The man yelped as her teeth pierced the barrier of skin, and she started draining the blood from his body.

The man started losing consciousness, fading in and out as she drained pint by pint of his blood. He could feel himself slowly losing his balance, going limp in her arms and finally fading into the shadows of deaths welcoming embrace of eternal rest.

The woman pulled away, licking the puncture marks so they would heal. She was making sure that she was leaving no trace behind, that she had never been here in this man's apartment.

She let the body hit the floor with a thud and frowned, wiping the blood from her chin. "Pathetic...and here I thought men were tough beings. Guess I was wrong after all. Though on the plus side, you certainly were tasty." she chuckled as she pulled out a match, struck it, and threw it on the body.

The body caught fire and started burning, black smoke enveloping throughout the kitchen. The woman vanished without a sound, as if she wasn't human. The darkness of the night enveloped her in its shadows, the only part of her that glowed like a beacon, was her silver eyes.

The vampire, known as Queen Lady Red, is hungry once again. Only this time, the nights darkest creature, has finally come out to play once more.

Beware mortals! For the end, has only just begun!
