He stopped running as in front of him was a jump he could not make. Beyond that were Alice, the minion and the Feathered shadow standing still in a talking phase. Kayde still couldn't make out anything they said except for a few shouts and yells from on another, Alice waving her hands in the air, but even he couldn't make out what she was saying. With a few people on the ground observing the barely visible conflict that was happening on the roof, as if they saw them take a huge leap of faith across. The building where they were at consisted of a quiet 5 story apartment complex, behind them flickered an old neon light possibly advertising for the lonely building.

"Turn back, or push on?" Kayde muttered as he looked back to see the Library in the far distance, somewhere beyond that was home.

In front of him he looked below and around there was no fire escape, but rather a closed dumpster that seemed like everything else was a better option than to jump in to break or possibly injure his fall and move forward. Everything became quiet once again, Kayde raised his leg over the ledge.

"I can't, I can't, I can't" Kayde muttered again and again as the wind blew on him more.

His body began to shake, he began to lose balace and fade away his consiousness. With one final breath he found himself free falling to the dumpster below. Was he going to land in a pile of trash, dangerous materials, empty boxes, broken glass, would he even land in the dumpster or would half land outside the rim? He would never know until he made it to the bottom. As the ground came closer a loud metal thud was heard abroad scaring the nearby birds, soon it was quiet again for a few seconds like after a shot in the night. Kayde in shock woke up face up in the dumpster, inside there was nothing to cushion his fall. His back landed on his bacpack while his head landed on the thin metal and his leg on the rim of the dumpster. He let out a groan of pain and with all the little effort he had left, he got out of the dumpster with a limp in his ankle, a headache in his brain, and a soreness in his back. He took out the duffel bag and his backpack to see if anything got damaged, in his backpack he heard the clanking of broken glass, Alice's medallion was broken out of the case. Kayde looked overhead but could not get a good view of the conversation, he looked back with a stretch to the dumpster, then looking at the back pack and duffle bag. He looked around him and with a final decision he left everything back in the dumpster hoping it would still be there by the time he came back, if he ever came back that was.

"Better hidden here than with me somewhere" Kayde groaned, and ran to the building where everyone else was at, soon racing up the fire escape stairs inside.

What followed was Kayde racing to the building with pain and sweat engulfing his body, entering the late open complex running all the way up the indoor fire escape.

On Alice's and the minion's end things were very tense as what follows occured as Kayde followed close behind.

The feathered shadow made an ultimate leap across the sky, spreading his wings to glide over to the apartment complex. Alice and the minion made their efforts to make it across with the minion trying his luck first shrinking his weight.

"Don't worry miss, I Got This!! He shouted to only make it to a second story window hanging for dear life.

"Aaah!" he screamed nervously, "I didn't make it!"

Alice still in mask took a breath as she ran to the edge and took a supernatural leap across the rooftop, as she was about to pummle to the side of the building she threw her hands to the ground to have an invisible force of air slow her fall almost floating down till she reached the edge of the building. Behind her the minion still cried for help as people below began to notice and question the commotion that was happening upstairs. Quickly she lifter hands up and over body as the minion shreiked as he was lifted up and over her, the Feathered shadow making his getaway.
Alice with no hesitation tugged her arm back as the feathered shadow tripped over nothing falling on his face unable to move from the invisible grip Alice had on his ankle.
