Kayde was frozen in panic, he didn't know what to do. Before he could think of a way out he began to struggle out as the female soldier struggleed.
"H-hey l-et me me go! Let me Goo!"
Behind them came the ghostly howl again followed by a gust of wind. His phone's light flickered off, completely surrounded by a darkness. Kayde broke free from the soldiers clutches and ran to the guardian who still layed tied to the floor ducking behind him and gripping him as hard as he could as shots echoed and flashed through the building. He then felt wind on his back as something swooped over him, throwing the female soldier who made a last stand knocking her against another wall of books as they fell along side her along with the shelf. As his phone light flickered back on Kayde got up and looked around, the duffel bag was no where to be found. The comms began to fill with overlapping chatter. He took a side arm from one of the soldiers to protect himself as he got up with his phone and ran to the guardian, carrying him, and making a break for the elevator. Upon going to the elevator it was locked, to make things worse, the ghostly whistle came closer to where they where and the sound of doors slamming open and people barking orders were nearing close to him. Kayde had to get out of there but he didn't know how while holding on to the guardian. Before he could move back, the howl was right behind him and everything after would be dead quiet. His phone would flicker off again, kayde then dropped and held tight to the guardan shouting for his life.
"Aaah Nooo!"
The sound and presence came back to him as voices of soldiers drew near "over here!"
Out of nowhere a figure flushed a gust of wind, and the soldiers all fell to a paralyzing sleep. Kayde looked in awe and fear, he was amazed as much as he was terrified. He put his phone away considering the outcome if he were to call the authorities to being of no use everytime it turned off. He then looked at the figure that stood in front of him. Was it her, no it couldn't have been, the figure's features were one of a masculine person, taller and slimmer that Alice. It wore a leather vest overneath a dress shirt, with a grim colored coat and a mask of black feathers continuously flapping with the fedora over his head. Kayde froze, the figure was indeed taller than him, maybe taller than the average person.
"Hello there young one" it said.
"Hi" kayde politely said back nervously. "Who are you?"
The figure laughed amused, "You don't know me? Why I'm the Feathered Shadow but i'm officially known by my reputation as sombra emplumada, the one with the birds."
Kayde looked at him, he didn't know who that was, but he knew a "Shadow" from his dad's radio drama collection.
"What do you want?"
The whispering shadow looked at him, his factor for the feathered mask was that you weren't able to see his expression or his facial language because of it, all you could do was hear his voice.
"Well from what I know there's something from here that i need and on the contrary, i believe you can help."
Kayde looked at him with confusion "Help how?"
The whispering shadow gave a smirk to kayde.
"Well if you don't mind me explaining, it's a small amulet of some sort, like a medallion, and along that a book."
Kayde looked at him, he knew what he was describing, but expressed that he did not know that he did.
"Why do you need them?" kayde asked.
"For safekeeping" replied Susurro, "I find it very essential to my employer that he has them."
This was serious.
