1 MONTH SINCE VEGAS
ALESSIA
I was questioned about the disappearance of Chico, by Master Lin's hard as nails sister, Madame Gao. Luckily for Maria I ain't no snitch. Loyalty is like my superpower I guess. Billy was fine, by the way, the school got him stitched up in no time, and he was back to his enthusiastic self. Marcus and Maria were also dating, but they had to keep it a secret, cause the Soto Vatos can never find out that she killed Chico. We had to stop that happening. At all costs.
"You two still haven't done it yet?" I asked taking a drag of the blunt that Billy had brought outside with him. We sat on the tombs between classes, and honestly I really needed it. I was so frickin' tired with everything at that moment. Everything was quiet. Too quiet. I was restless. Paranoid? I just-It felt like I was in between something and I couldn't tell what was on the other side. It was frustrating more than anything. Marcus let out a chuckle shaking his head.
"We decided to wait" He nodded, and I over dramatically rolled my eyes back lying back on the tomb.
"Why risk all this just to die a virgin?" Billy queried taking a hit, and I could not agree more.
"Hey, do you think. I should get Maria. A one-month anniversary gift? She said I don't have to, but I..."
I shot up at this, swinging my legs over the side of the tomb in a sitting position.
"Whoa, hold up. People do that?" Both Billy and Marcus burst out in fits of laughter, and I hadn't a clue why. So I joined them. Was there any real point if you couldn't laugh about it?

Here's where things start to get interesting. I had never been called to Master Lin's office in my whole time at Kings Dominion. I opened the door to see Madame Gao in his place, and I was totally confused. What had I done now? She wasn't getting anything about Vegas out of me, she'd have to kill me. Her hand outstretched gracefully ushering me to sit, which I did, a small frown falling onto my face.
"Students chatter freely, pierce their faces, dye their hair. I thought Master Lin would have taught you and your alumni that our kind should be felt but always forgotten" She began in her calm, defined way. I felt like she was looking down upon me for some reason, and I hated it.
"Wait, this is about how I choose to look?...cause I re-"
"This isn't about any of that Miss Gotti. Just an observation of mine. No, I called upon you to remind you of who you are" I went to speak but she held up a hand, making me close my mouth. "Tell me, when was the last time you associated yourself with your kind?"
