I just stood there not knowing what to say or do. Should I hug? Should I run? Should I smile?
My brain had come to a pause suddenly and my heartbeat quickened.
A hand wrapped around my shoulders suddenly re-arranged my thought flow. I quickly realised who it was. It was Amelia who was hugging me as Aura stood by her side, hand latched to my wrist. Seemed like they had missed me as much as I did miss them.
Suddenly, waterworks were everywhere. I was crying. Amelia was crying and Aura too.
Amelia released me from the hug and as soon as she did that, I reached out and hugged them both together. I was still crying.
"I've missed you, so much you have no idea." I sobbed.
"We have too!" They replied in sync.
I stopped hugging and walked over to Jake who stood and smiled.
I punched him a little on the rib.
"Ouu, someone's grown a little more manly." I whisper-told him.
He chuckled and simply pulled my little body frame into a tight hug. I smiled against his chest. I had missed Jake too.
"Hey, big boy!" I said, my hand ruffling through his hair.
"Hey sassy missy!" He said, pulling my right cheek a little.
I just smiled as I walked back to Aura and Amelia. I sat in the space between Aura and Amelia on the large wingback chair.
"We have a lot to catch up on!" I exclaimed.
"Yes we do." Aura replied as we three exchanged smile laced glances.
"But, first of all, how do you know jerkface?" I asked, confused.
"As in Jace?" Amelia asked, amusement evident in her tone.
" Uhm, yes as in Jace. How do you know him?" I asked.
"You haven't told her!?" They all exclaimed in jerkface's direction.
" I haven't. I can always tell her anytime, can't I ?" He said corkily.
" Tell me what?" I asked, still confused. Jake's sister, Mia also seemed very confused. I guess she's used to being kept in the dark.
" Well, Jace is Landon." Aura said.
" Now I'm more confused. Landon? Landon who?" I asked.
"Landon Anderson!? " Aura said-asked.
"Landon Anderson. Little Jasmine's high-school crush, I had her slap." Jake pitched in, proudly.
Then it all started to make sense.
Jerkface is Jace and Jace is Landon.
I just sat there head laying low and fingers pressed to temples as I tried to reason it all.

Long time, actually.
I've been back from boarding school for quite a while now and I'll quickly admit, I've been lazy. It's all my fault. But I actually needed this break. I needed to refresh and revitalise after the exams I'd taken up.
As for now, I promise to try and update every other. Don't get your hopes up tho. I might fail you. I'm sorry for this short chapter as it doesn't come up as much of a filler, but expect a new update soonest!
