A/N:- I'm sorry for not having updated. I have upcoming exams so, I've got a lot to go through. I promise I'll try to update as much as I can tho. This chapter may or may not be long, it depends on how far I can go. And yes! Yes! Yes! I'm going to be giving each chapter a name. Just thought I should to do that. Read on!Xoxo,

"You what!? You want me to fill in as a barista here at your workplace and as an assistant outside of work!?" I all but screamed.
Actually, I raised my voice a little. A little.
"So much for dressing professional!" I mumble-told him.
"Yes! And don't get your hopes too high. You'll work as an assistant in the sense that you do the tedious work I don't want to do myself." He said, smirking. His usual habit."Tedious work? If it's something you don't want to do yourself, so why should I have to do it. And how are you so sure that it's something I can handle." I said looking him in the face as well as gesturing with my hands. I sure did that a lot.
"Of course I know it's not too much for you to handle. You're made of so much real stuff. Aren't you, firecracker?" He said fake smiling. He really listened to the tiniest details of spoken words. Especially when you say it to his face. Did I really have to say all those things? It made sense to ask that now.
"Firecracker?" I asked rolling my eyes.
"Yes. Firecracker. Because you're tiny, crazy and talkative. And you sound like you can knock someone out with your words." He said proudly. Sounding like he had just beat Abraham Lincoln at a spelling bee. I fought the urge to roll my eyes at him.
"You, show her what she's meant to be doing and how soon she would start with it." He said to Reed. Reed had been laughing at our banter the whole time.
"Uhm, I think I know how to prepare coffee for a group of people." I said giving him one of my signature "sassy looks"
"Well then, get to it. I suppose you know everywhere here and where to start from. Reed, leave her to it. I actually have some more important work for you to do. Let's leave." He said corkily.
"I guess I don't know that."I cooed behind them.
" Reed, do you mind helping me out?" I said smiling at Reed who was now turned to face me.""I don't. I guess. " He said motioning towards Jerkface.
"He wouldn't care." I said eyeing him
"Hey! He works for me, so I get to tell him what I want him to do. And I would only allow him help you because, I don't want you burning down this office." He said pointing.
I just looked him over and continued speaking to Reed.
"Elm...what was I saying? Oh yeah, I wanted you to show me to the break room. Where is it?" I said to Reed completely ignoring Mr Jerkface who was walking out of the room.
"It's right over there" he said leading the way.
We got to the break room and I have to say, this is too much for a break room. I mean, was anybody cooking lunch here. There's a Cafeteria downstairs. It was the size of a freaking diner.
"Firstly, you have to know the types of coffee on the list, because people prefer one to another. We have the black, latte, cappuccino, americano, expresso, doppio, cortado, red eye, galaò, lingo, macchiato, mocha, ristretto, flat white, affogato, cafè au lait and irish." He said all in a breath as I nodded my head as he said each word. What a stupid move! My neck was starting to hurt. Then he handed me a chart.
"You must have been listing these for a long time to be able to say it all at once. I worked in a coffee shop for a whole summer but I still have to think before I can list them all." I said making a move to check the green chart he had given me."Woah, woah, woah! So they were all written here and you had to showcase your memory skills." I said looking through the chart again.
"Sorry. I've had to do this a lot, so I'm used to it. We just got this chart recently." He said, scratching the back of his neck
"You don't have to be sorry." I said pouting.
"Yeah, before I forget, some people may want to go extra by selecting their brewing styles. We don't have a chart for that yet, so have this. You might want to take them down. " He said, giving me a notepad and a pen.
"We have the drip brew, pour over, cold brew, espresso and the ristretto." He continued as I wrote down what he said.
"Thanks a lot, Reed. I think I can successfully take it from here. A group of people demanding coffee is nothing I can't handle." I said shrugging.
"Well, a group of barbaric tartars is something you can't handle." He said.
"Be sure to take your notepad along with you. I'll leave it to you now. The meeting starts at 9:30. You have roughly 7 minutes to prepare." He continued.
"Thanks for the info." I said to him.
"No problem. The board room is directly opposite this room." He answered.
To think, I was to have a meeting at that exact 9:30 too until Mr Jerkface came around.
"Wait! What do you mean you've been doing this for a while? Does he make you serve coffee too? " I asked
He looked confused for a second then he realised what I was talking about.
"Oh, that! I don't serve coffee. I've had to introduce lots of new baristas to their work specs." He said, the "I don't serve coffee" making me feel less even if he didn't mean it that way. Ladies sure have their way of reasoning.
Way to be so inquisitive, Jas. I thought.
