Sean woke up to the noise of Kaycee's mom calling her from outside and swore under his breath.

Sean: "shit, kaycee wake up"

He shook her a few times until she, herself, heard the noise and jumped up from his chest frantically, grabbing his shirt from the ground.

They always cuddled, even just as friends but Sean had never taken his shirt off like he did last night and kaycee didn't want questions.

Sean: "should I hide?"

Kaycee: "no"

Sean sat on her bed with his head in his phone as kaycee opened the door normally.

Laura: "jeez I thought you were dead"

Kaycee: "no sorry, must've accidentally locked it last night...force of habit"

Laura looked past kaycee and saw Sean, without a care she smiled at him.

Laura: "I see you two are on better terms now yeah?"

Sean: "thankfully we are"

She smiled

Laura: "good to hear, I'm heading out to do some shopping with your dad, don't get into any trouble while we're gone"

Kaycee: "are Kylie and dev home?"

Laura: "Devon is at a friends and Kylie went to visit grandpa and grandma this morning, they should be back soon. Have any plans today Sean?"

Sean: "not that I know of, I guess we'll see what this weirdo comes up with"

He glanced at his best friend with evident heart eyes, but thank god her mom had no clue.

Laura: "have fun and text me if you need anything, love you both"

They both claimed they loved her back and when kaycee heard her walk back down the stairs she sighed and took a seat on Sean's lap, straddling him.

He placed his hands lightly on her hips and held her in place, loving the contact.

Sean: "woah, first of all, I've never seen this side of you, and second of all, your parents are still here"

She giggled

Kaycee: "I wasn't trying anything, just wanted to talk"

Sean: "in this position?"

Kaycee: "I can move"

Sean gripped her hips under her shirt, tighter than before.

Sean: "no, stay"

She smiled

Kaycee: "that's what I thought"

He wanted to kiss her so bad but, he knew it was too early, and he also knew he wanted to make it special.

Sean: "what's up, what do you wanna chat about"

Kaycee: "I guess what we're doing...like what is this?"

Sean: "us getting to know each other in a different way than before I guess. Things are gonna get more physical and we're gonna start falling but, I promise I'll catch you okay? Don't get scared when you start to feel yourself falling...please."

Kaycee smiled at his answer. She got way more out of him than she intended.

Sean: "good answer?"

Kaycee: "perfect answer"

She leaned in and rested her head on his shoulder as he rubbed calming circles on her back.

Sean: "you're not gonna freak out and leave me are you?"

Kaycee: "I don't think I could."

Sean: "I can't wait to see where this goes rice"

Kaycee: "me either"

They both blushed but it wasn't evident to one another with their faces hidden from each other.

They broke away from their hug and smiled at each other, and kaycee didn't wanna admit it just yet, but she knew she was already falling for him.

Sean: "what do you wanna do today?"

Kaycee: "stay in and watch a movie, do some cuddling, maybe some napping"

Sean: "sounds like a beautiful Sunday to me"

Kaycee: "it's a date"

He smiled at her and watched her walk into the bathroom with a hop in her step.

He picked up his phone and glanced down to see what looked like thousands of texts from Julian, Josh, and Bailey.

Sean: "fuck"

Just then, kaycee walked in

Kaycee: "what's wrong?"

Sean: "not sure but, something must be cause I've got 30 messages from the boys and Bailey"

Kaycee sat down on the bed next to him as he scooted over to make room.

Julian: "check on kaycee bro, she hasn't been answering me"

Bailey: "what you did was fucked...hope you're happy with kaycee"

Josh: "you and kaycee?"

Julian: "Bailey said you were already smooching kaycee bro!"

Josh: "Sean?"

Kaycee was so confused.

Kaycee: "it's been like...9 hours and they know already?!"

Sean: "I think Baileys just assuming, cause I talked so much about you and she probably just thinks I broke up with her for you."

Kaycee: "but she's right"

Sean: "well yeah but she has no proof, so quit worrying"

Kaycee: "she's mad Sean"

Sean: "I did it in the most civil way possible kaycee...I was so nice about it. Breakups aren't easy"

Kaycee: "I get that, but she deserves to be the first to know"

Sean: "sure, yeah, I promise she will be"

Kaycee: "I don't wanna argue over someone that's now in the past but, I care about you both."

Sean: "I know you do...stop worrying okay? I have this under control"

She laid into him and he kissed her forehead.

Sean: "I'm yours and that's all that matters"

She smiled, but it wasn't visible to him at that angle.

She felt so lucky in that moment to have someone who cared for her the way she cared for them.

& for the first time, she felt like she could picture a future with someone...and that someone had always been him.
