Corazón

A heart to some is served gleaming on a silver platter.

Others will deliver it shattered.

A heart is to be held with delicacy,

and one wrong tug,

leaves it shattered.

A heart can be picked up,

covered up,

and glued back together,

but it's cracks will always remain.

A heart will be afraid,

to become yet again betrayed.

The next to bear the heart will be in pain,

for when it wails,

it will leave them drained.
