Chapter 8

Doyle Residence:
The 4 of them have finished making the Jack-O-Lantern and they Nick carries it as they go put it on the table. Nick and Tommy howl and Laurie and Lindsey "oooh" like ghosts.

Tommy: He's gonna get ya.

Lindsey: No, he's not.

Laurie: Hey, nobody's getting anybody. So stop scaring each other.

Nick: C'mon Laurie, let the 2 have fun a little.

He puts the Jack-O-Lantern down before looking out the window and see Bob's van parked in front of the Wallace residence.

Nick: Well, looks like Bob and Lynda have stopped by and are having a good time of their own. (To kids) Alright guys, what's next?

Lindsey: Let's make more popcorn.

Laurie: No, we had enough popcorn. How about we watch the rest of the movie?

Kids: Yeah.

Nick: Good idea.

They sit on the couch with Tommy next to Nick and Lindsey next to Laurie and Nick has his arm around Laurie's shoulders. They start to watch the movie before the phone starts ringing.

Nick: I'll get it, you got it last time. (Gets up and answers the phone) Hello, Doyle house.

Wallace House:
Lynda and Bob were lying on the couch together

Lynda: Hey Nick, what's up?

Nick: (Phone) Well, me and Laurie were sitting down watching a movie with the kids, so what's up?

Lynda: I was wondering if Annie was around?

Nick: (Phone) No, I thought she would be there by now. She went to go pick up Paul.

Lynda: Well, she's totally not here.

Nick: Maybe she stopped somewhere. Have her call when she gets home, though. Me and Laurie have Lindsey and we need to know when to put her to bed.

Lynda: Why? So you and Laurie can have your fun alone together?

Nick: (Sarcastic) Ha ha, very funny. But seriously, have her call when she gets back.

Lynda: Okay, later.

Nick hangs up.

Lynda: (Looks at Bob) Lindsey is gone for the night.

Bob: Hey, now that's wonderful.

They get up and Bob turns off the light in the living room before walking out and they turn off the other lights.

Doyle Residence:

Nick sees this and shakes his head before walking back to the couch and sits between Laurie and Tommy.

Laurie: Who was it?

Nick: Lynda.

Laurie: Oh.

Nick: Annie hasn't got back yet. I'm a little worried.

Laurie: I'm sure she's alright. (Gives him a small smile) She's probably just having fun with Paul.

Nick: (Smiles back at her) Yeah, maybe you're right.

They both turn their attention to the tv as Laurie rests her head on Nick's shoulder and he has his arm around her.

Later:

Lynda and Bob finish having sex and start smoking.

Lynda: (Gives him a cigarette) Want a beer?

Bob: Yeah.
