Chapter 2 – It’s mine.

Recap:

I was now sitting nearest the window at the last row, minding my own business when the teacher’s loud voice broke my dream.

“Class! I would like you to meet, Aidan Walker. He’s our new student and please do welcome him in our class.”

Story Begins:

The wind from my window blew in and as my head shot up to the front of the classroom, my hair flew, revealing my tattoo for a split second before I quickly cover it up with my hair. I saw the new guy’s eye widen for a second before he return back to his normal smirking face. I did a quick examination of the guy infront of me; Messy black-bluish hair that covered most of his forehead, sharp features that resemble something which I can’t seem remember, lazy posture as he bear his weight on one leg, his bag slinged behind on one shoulder and his shirt untucked at one side. His eyes stared into mine as he slowly made his way to where I was sitting.

My heart continued working hard, pumping so fast that I think it’s going overdrive. I can literally feel my heart jumping out of my mouth and dropping onto my opened palm. Oblivious that he was standing beside my desk, I jolted back to reality and looked at the front of the classroom for the guy.

‘where is he?’ I thought as my eye darted back and forth from the teacher’s table to the front door of my class

“Looking for me?” I heard someone whisper in my ear and I immediately pushed myself behind towards the window, away from the person who invaded my personal space. I stared at the new guy, furious and he smirked while he pull the chair beside me out.

“what are you doing?” I asked while stopping the chair halfway before he could fit his big butt in. I glared at him and was determined not to give in to his attractiveness.

“What am I doing? I’m sitting down here, of course. If you’re not so busy mesmerizing over me, you would have heard the teacher saying that I was to sit here beside you…, E-mi-ly” he replied while jerking his hand to pull out the chair forcefully. He sat down and leaned back not caring about me, beside him who is still glaring at him.

“Smart-ass” I muttered under my breath and I continued on looking outside the window for anything that catches my eye in the huge forest surrounding out school.

The class went by smoothly except for the smart-ass who sat beside me. I met my friends during lunch and we talked crap as usual making funny comments about the people around us. The odd thing was, during the entire lunch period, I kept noticing that Aidan and his group keep looking at me when I wasn’t looking. It was weird and I bet they have already stared a hole into my body with 30 minutes of continuous staring. However, I just shrugged it off as nothing and continued on my day as usual.

The last class that I had was with the smart-ass and again I had to sit with him. As my teacher continued speaking gibberish throughout the entire period, I was twisting my pencil around my fingers. I missed a step while twisting the pencil around my middle finger and my pencil dropped to the floor and rolled evilly towards smart-ass’s shoe. I sighed and groaned inwardly as I bent down slowly to take my pencil when suddenly I felt somebody’s hand touched mine and I was pulled back to a certain memory I had a long time ago.

I was there at the pond, looking at the wolf, mesmerized by its unique fur colour. I held out my hand and it allowed me to caress its soft fur. Its starts to move strangely close to me but I didn’t mind and I continued to be tranced by the butterflies in my stomach and the softness of his fur. The wolf stopped and looked at me with his pale blue eyes that almost looked white.
