the flower field

Tommy sat peacefully on the hill, watching over L'manburg as the sun blazed above, giving an evening glow. The soft breeze touched Tommy's skin and hair. The grass moved slowly with the wind, it was quite relaxing to Tommy. He sighed.

A bee flew around him, catching his attention. He laughed lightly, watching the bee as it flew around him. He held his finger out to the insect. The bee landed without hesitation and fluttered it's wings. It flew up again, intruding Tommy's face.
The bee continued to annoy Tommy in a nice way until Tommy stood. Tommy wiped his hands over multiple parts of himself as if he was contaminated with something.

Tommy was confused when the bee suddenly flew away. He thought it challenged him, so he decided to chase after it. Tommy's blonde hair bounced in the wind.

Then, Tommy realized he had lost the bee. He was going to stop running, but the adrenaline kept him running. He was having fun, until...

The floor dropped and Tommy found himself sliding down a sudden hill. He gasped in surprise when the rather calm area appeared.

When Tommy opened his eyes, a huge flower field lay before him. He blinked a few times before standing up. He dusted himself off again. Great, he thought, now I have grass stains on my arse.

Tommy slowly walked into the flower field. The same bee flew around him and he greeted it with a warm smile. Bees and butterflies were on the flowers. Birch and oak trees were visible from where he stood in the flower field. He turned his head to face the actually small hill he had slipped down, the sun to the right and in view, to Tommy's surprise.

The location of the sun that he could see cast a golden transparency on the field. He smiled and turned around, walking towards more flowers. A familiar giggle stole Tommy's attention.

He looked and saw, his best friend sitting in the field. He had a flower crown on and daisy bracelets. In the glow of the sun, his brown hair appeared a nice honey like colour. The boy hadn't noticed Tommy yet, so Tommy decided on something.

He approached Tubbo quietly, smiling as he saw he was busy with bees and flowers. At the last second, Tubbo had seen Tommy.
The brunette smiled at the blonde.

"Tommy!"
Tubbo set the flowers down, reaching out to Tommy and successfully pulling the boy down next to himself. He gave a warm smile to him.

"Hey, Tubbo."
Tommy returned the smile and picked a flower. He could feel Tubbo's presence and it made him feel safe, like he wasn't alone.

"What are you doing out here anyways, Tommy?" Tubbo asked with curious eyes. Tommy laughed a little.

"Nothing, really. I was just watching L'manburg as usual. Though, what are you doing out here, Tubbo?"
His answer was inevitably silence, though he wasn't surprised. Tommy started picking off the petals of the daisy he held in his hand, one by one.
Tubbo looked at him and gasped.

"Hey! Don't do that, Tommy! It hurts them." Tubbo reached out quickly and stopped Tommy with his unoccupied hand. The taller boy laughed again, amused by Tubbo's enthusiasm.

"Okay, okay."

Tommy set the daisy down beside him and leaned back on his hands. The golden hue of the evening had been scarcely cleaned up, leaving the area a bit duller than before. Tommy closed his eyes for a while, humming a soft tune of a recent war.

Tommy stopped humming and opened his eyes when he felt something in his lap. Tubbo seemed to be sleeping there comfortably, though he still had the flowers. Tommy chuckled softly at the boy. He ran his fingers through his best friends hair, feeling slightly panicked as it was becoming night. He could already hear Wilbur panicking to find them, too.

Tommy worried a bit, having stopped humming and weaving his fingers through Tubbo's hair. The small boy grunted, moving a bit.

"No, keep humming.."
Tubbo murmured the words basically to himself, but Tommy understood. He continued to run his hand through the boys hair and continued to hum.

The two stayed like that for a while before Tommy had opened his eyes again. The tree he was leaning against had become more noticeable. He glanced around, the sun had barely left a trace of light. The sun had seemingly almost disappeared. Tommy grew more panicked. He looked around again and shook Tubbo awake.

"Gah! Come at me, bitch!"
He un-ironically slapped Tommy across the face. He slapped a hand over his own mouth.

"Ohmygod- Tommy, I am so sorry!"
The blonde rubbed his face which was stinging slightly from the hit. Tubbo sat up quickly, realizing the situation.

"It's fine Tubbo, really."
Tommy patted Tubbo on the shoulder. He was really tired and wanted to leave.

"Tommy, should we head back? Wilbur might get worried, and it's turning night time."
Tubbo asked worriedly, which Tommy simply nodded and stood up.

Tommy grabbed a flower and put it in his hair, leading Tubbo up the hill and back to L'manburg, laughing and joking around the whole way.
