The lady and guards led us to a room, one that had a few other people in lab coats. I was starting to see another reoccurring pattern.
The lady specifically led Teresa to a seat with a curtain around it, and told her to sit down, as a man waved me over.
"Sit right here, please." He smiled, as I did what he asked and sat down in the chair. He was very warm with his words, and he spoke gently. Now if he had talked to us like Rat Man had, I would have trusted him. "How was the shower?"
"It was warm. Nice." I nodded, as he smiled and sat down on a roller-stool, rolling over to the counter just to my left.
"Everyone always compliments the temperature." He told me, and I was a bit confused as what he meant by everyone. Had he spoken to the boys, or was he speaking on his behalf?
I looked across the room, to Teresa, who was watching the lady do some work on a computer right by her little bed thing. Teresa looked over, her hands folded in her lap, and examined the guy beside me, before her eyes found the computer screen again. I saw her say a few things, but I couldn't hear what she said.
"What's your name?" I asked, watching as he put together a few things on his tray, with gloves on his hands.
"You can call me Dr. Perry." He told me, as I nodded and watched what he was doing. There were a lot of needles involved in his concoction of chemicals.
"I'm-" I started to say, feeling a bit rude of not saying anything after he said his name. I had really only asked to try and gain more information about him, and I wanted to remember who I could potentially trust.
He laughed before I could finish. "I know who you are, Parker." I watched him as he finished what he was working on, a bit speechless. How did he know my name. "Here, give me your arm. Not afraid of needles, are you?" I shook my head at his question, and rolled up my sleeve.
I didn't even think about what was in the needle he had, or asking about it, but I held out my arm with no resistance. He took a small cloth and patted my arm, where my elbow bent, and cleaned the skin above a large vein.
I watched as he took the massive needle and slid it in my arm. It hardly hurt, and was in for about three seconds before he finished injecting me with the liquid.
I was about to ask what was in it, when the door opened. I glanced over as he turned, setting down the empty syringe and standing up. He went to the chair beside me, on my right, which was only about three feet away, and to the mirrored counter.
I smiled as I saw the boys enter, and then look around. Their eyes landed on Teresa, and then me, as a few different people led them all different ways.
One led Minho to a treadmill, and hooked him up to a machine. Which was a little suspicious. I mean, the one person who had become the fittest and fastest out of us all, was running again. Either they knew he had run the maze, it was a complete coincidence, or they saw his leg and stomach muscles and assumed.
Dr. Perry called Newt over and sat him down in the chair right beside me, and then quickly began working on a needle for him.
Newt looked to me and almost smiled as I sat up, my legs dangling off the chair. And I thought he couldn't get any cuter. Although, there was a small scratch on his cheek that was more visible now that he'd showered off.
"How was the shower?" Dr. Perry asked Newt, who looked back over, and shrugged lightly, watching the man.
"Warm." Dr. Perry laughed at his answer, and glanced back at me, not turning his body but only his head.
"We were just talking about the temperature. Everyone compliments that." He explained, as Newt glanced over to me.
"Hey, Dr. Perry, do you know his name, too?" I asked, leaning a bit over as he looked back to me and smiled, nodding.
