I stepped forward, glancing back at my friends, who were scanning the room. No use staying together, and no one had went right yet.

I pointed my flashlight to my right, before leaving the room, going down a few large halls. I tried to stay quiet, and alert, just in case there was something else here.

I stopped at a small room, much smaller than the one we were just in. It looked like a room where people had slept in. There were two makeshift beds side by side, except half the room was empty. Which led me to believe that the beds were moved closer after they had set it out.

I stepped lightly, over a few scattered items. Every few minutes I would check the doorway, scared that someone- or something- would be there.

The room was mostly just trash, and broken things. But, I managed to find a few clothes, women clothes. So, the people were probably girls.

There were a few shirts and jackets, two of which I thought Teresa would like. They were about her size, and she was currently wearing a tank top. There were also some nice shoes, which I got for Teresa, because I couldn't remember if she was wearing any.

I shifted through a few more things, finding a backpack. There wasn't much in there, just a few old clothes. Mostly scarves, and personal belongings.

The small bear, torn and shredded, and wearing a tiny backpack, I set on the bed nicely. I didn't want to be disrespectful, and it kinda hurt my heart a little bit.

Soon, the bag was filled with a few scarves, an empty water container, which had previously been sitting around, and a light jacket for myself. I had Teresa's things in my hand.

I was just about to leave when a small glint from under the bed caught my eye. I looked around, before setting the stuff on the floor, and getting on my hands and knees.

The light illuminated the shiny, metal box, which was pushed as far back as it could go. A part of me knew I shouldn't intervene, the other couldn't help but wonder.

I started to reach my hand out, my flashlight in my other. My fingers barely grazed the box, the cold metal sending chills down my spine, as someone touched my shoulder.

I shouted, my hand hitting the metal bed frame, the light falling dropping to the floor. I looked up, my heart racing, to find Newt, smiling at me.

"Oh my god, I think you gave me a heart attack." I panted, putting a hand over my heart. He grinned, and bit his lip, trying to push back his smile.

"Sorry about that. I called your name, but I guess you didn't hear me." He explained, as I sighed, shaking my head. No, I hadn't. "What're you doing on the floor anyways?"

"Getting- this." I reached back under the bed, my hand finding a metal handle, as I swiftly swung the box out. It slid, stopping in front of both of us.

Newt raised an eyebrow, before sitting down across from me. "Alright, so, it's a box." He nodded, as I looked up, picking back up my light.

"Yeah, I guess so, but-" I trailed off, frowning. "It's a locked box." I looked at the small lock on the pad to open it.

"Well, that settles it." Newt shrugged, as I looked to him. My eyes drifted to the bear, sitting on the bed, almost seeming to watch us. And his little pack.

"Not yet." He watched as I stood up, slowly going over. I was hesitant to touch the bear, like it had some sort of infection, but I did it anyways.

I quickly unzipped the bag, and dug in, my hands finding a small key. I held it up, and looked to Newt, smiling a little.

"Oh, wow." He nodded, biting back his smile as I sat back down. He turned the lock towards me, as I twisted the key inside. It clicked open.
