THE AFTERNOON SUN shined against Maia's skin as she walked with a slow pace to the Big House, she had been anxious to talk to the activities director Chiron, about a weird dream that was bothering her. It was Maia's only chance for answers.

This was already a normal habit of her since she came to Camp Half Blood. Having a bad dream, worrying about it, and when she felt useless she gave up and told him everything. Chiron was like a father figure for her and mostly every demigod in camp, so he didn't seem to bother when she came and talked to him about it.

This also happened really often since Maia is a daughter of Apollo, god of the sun, archery, music, and prophecy, which means sometimes she can see things that can happen in the future.

As she was getting closer, she came across a familiar face with blonde princess curls, her best friend, Annabeth. Annabeth and Maia has known each other since they were seven years old, and they see each other as sisters.

"What's wrong?" She asked, already used to reading her friend's facial expression and body language.

"Nothing." Maia responded quickly, and continued her way towards the house, Annabeth rolled her eyes, and grabbed Maia's wrist, making her turn around.

"If you're heading to the Big House, it must be something. What is it?" She asked again with puppy eyes, she knew Maia wouldn't be able to resist it, so she tried.

Maia's face turned into a frown when she realized what Annabeth was doing, she tried fighting it with all of her strength, but those stupid grey eyes were the death of her.

She sighed. "Its the dream." She confessed, no need for specifications since Annabeth already knew.

The blonde girl nodded, her face now showed concern, she was worried about her friend caring all on her shoulders.

"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked.
The brunette shook her head.

"No, no. I'm probably already delaying you on your activities. I'll tell you later" she pressured.

She knew Annabeth wouldn't give up easily, it was in her nature, so she insisted on going with Maia to the Big House 'for moral support'.

As she stepped inside, she took in the smell that filled in the house. Fresh baked cookies, brownies, candy, it all smelt great to her, like home.

"Ah, look Who we have here. Annie Bell Casserole And Marie Days" said Mr. D, the camp director, a short man wearing a Hawaiian shirt and had a Diet Coke in his hand.

Mr. D had this habit of calling the campers by fake names. Some think is because he hates the campers, but Maia thinks differently, since she thinks that he calls them that because it's one way to not to get attached to the kids, since demigods are usually known for dying at a young age.
