chapter 11

*a month has passed*

NORMANS POV:

"come on ray" i said laughing as i grabbed ray's hand trying to get him off bed. he just groaned at me and told me to go away. i took the blankets off him and he hissed at me. 

"GIVE THEM BACK."

"hurry up and get off the bed."

"ugh fine" he groaned and finally got off the bed.

"make sure to get changed too."

"well, I'm not going to do it in front of you, pervert." 

"mhm, yea whatever" i left the room so ray could change. i headed towards the kitchen to make breakfast for me and ray. i was debating whether to make eggs and bacon or just pancakes. i was interrupted by emma's sudden presence.

"hey norman!! what are you thinking about?"

"just deciding what to make for breakfast."

"ooh what are the options?"

"eggs and bacon or just pancakes."

"why not all of them?"

"hmm i don't know if ray is that hungry."

"ill go ask him but you should just make his favorite."

"pancakes it is."

as i was reaching for the pancake powder, don and gilda both came in the kitchen when emma left. i grabbed the pancake powder and turned to face them.

"hey norman!" don said

gilda quietly spoke, "hey norman.. what were you talking about with emma just now?"

"oh just helping me decide what to make for breakfast, i want to make today's breakfast special."

"oh okay... you still don't like emma, do you?" 

"no. i don't. ray is my boyfriend and will forever continue to be my boyfriend." 

i turned around breaking eye contact with gilda and started to add milk to the pancake powder creating this thick substance. i stirred the substance until it turned out smooth and no clumps of powder were still on it. i heated up the stove and poured the batter onto the pan but i added bear ears to the pancakes because i thought they were cute. ray came in the kitchen sleepy as ever but still greeted don and gilda. i turned around to face ray to see ray still in his boxers. 

"didn't i tell you to get changed?"

"yea but i got tired and decided to go back to sleep." ray stated while yawning. he rubbed his exposed eye that wasn't being covered by his messy hair. 

"just get changed." 

"but I'm hungry" he whines, he then sniffs the air and asks, "are you making pancakes?" 

i chuckled, "yeah." he then comes towards the stove to see the pancakes I've been making, he rests his head on my shoulder and watches me flip the pancake. 

"you're lucky it isn't burnt" he teased at me. 

"it was one time!"

"one too many."

he takes his head off my shoulder and kisses my cheek, 

"im gonna go get changed." he whispers in my ear and heads towards his room. 

"make sure it's something comfy!" i yelled at him.

i finished making the pancakes and decided to not eat them at the house and instead go to the old hideout. i grabbed some syrup packets and inserted them in the picnic basket. i know it's just breakfast but it still didn't seem enough for a "picnic." emma came back to the kitchen and provided me with egg bagel sandwiches. 

"why are you giving me this?"

"i thought you and ray were going on a picnic so i made some in the other kitchen."

"that kitchen is only for hayato and the others."

"yeah yeah, i know."

don and gilda then came in and provided me with some muffins. "you guys thought we were gonna have a picnic too?" 

don then replied, "DUH, dude why else did you want to make breakfast special. you were obviously gonna take ray out."

i laughed, "yeah, i guess you're right."

"why is today so special?" emma asked

"its me and ray's one month anniversary. i know it's only a month but i love him and need to make this special."

"normans growing up so fast." don said acting like a mother would when their child gets sent off to college. 

ray came in the kitchen with a gray sweater on but layered with a somewhat oversized black colored coat, the hoodie of the coat had white fluff surrounding the edges matching the white scarf around his neck. he had black cargo jeans on that were covering the black boots being worn. he looked stunning, i cant believe i let myself hurt him so many times. i don't ever wanna lose him. 

"baka, stop looking at me like that." ray said looking down stuffing his face in his coat. i walked up to ray grabbing his face so he couldn't hide it anymore and forced him to have eye contact with me

"sorry, you're just beautiful." after i said those words ray's cheeks went from pale to light-colored pink. he's beautiful, i don't think i can ever stop loving him. i rubbed my thumb against his cheek. his cheek felt soft and warm it highly relaxed me that i didn't wanna let go. 

"barf, get a room." don said interrupting the moment. i turned around to face don and i found emma, don, and gilda intensely staring at me. ray murmured something i couldn't catch but i could tell he was annoyed. 

"okay then. shall we go ray?"  

"mhm." 

we then left.

HELP I HAD THIS CHAPTER WRITTEN OUT FOR THE LONGEST BUT DIDNT KNOW HOW TO TRANSITION IT TO THE DATE SO LIKE WE GONNA DO THE DATE THE NEXT CHAPTER YUP YUP CUS I DONT WANT YALL TO THINK I ABANDONED THIS STORY I JUST NEED INSPO SMH.
