Percy's Little Sister

RAELYNN POV:

i looked back to the crowd of people in front of me. everyone had knelt down on one knee, even percy. i glanced over to chiron and then back to everyone else. i looked up to see that the trident had faded away and the crown stopped glowing to.

everyone stood up but they continued to just stare at me. i didn't know what to say or even think. i saw everyone start to whisper to each other.
"another?" "Poseidon?" "what does this mean?"

i couldn't take the stares anymore so i ran. i had no where to go to so i just went to the docks.

it was dark so i could see much. i took off my shoes and just let my feet dangle in the water. waves crashed against my feet. my mind was racing a mile a minute.

i tried my best to focus my thoughts and make sense of every thing that has happened. hours past of me just sitting there trying to understand.
soon i realized i was the only one still out. the campfire had died and everyone disappeared.

i walked over to the hermes cabin hoping to get some sleep and that this would all be over tomorrow.
connor was standing outside the cabin leaning against the door. i tried to step around him but he stopped me.

"sorry raelynn but you don't belong here. that's your cabin now." he pointed over to the poseidon cabin.

"but i-"
"i can't help it it's the rules." he said
i smiled sadly "okay thanks"

i slowly made my way over to cabin 3. the light was still on inside.
great percy must still be awake

i quietly stepped inside trying not to draw attention to myself. it didn't work very well because the second i was in the cabin percy turned around.

"hey" he said
"hi"
it was extremely awkward between the two of us. which is expected when you just find out you have a long lost sister or half sister i guess.

"it's late you should probably get some sleep" he gestured over to one of the beds "you can sleep there"

i nodded and went to go lay down. it was slightly chilly. i pulled the covers above my head to block out the wind. i felt like i wouldn't be able to sleep with everything that was going on but as soon as i closed my eyes i drifted off.

the sun shone three the shades of the cabin waking me up. i sat up in the bed and rubbed my eyes. i slept pretty well better than i had in a long time.

i looked around the cabin but i couldn't find percy anywhere. he must have went to breakfast or maybe he just didn't want to see me.

i tossed my legs over the side of the bed and set my feet on the ground. i stood up and walked over to a dresser against the wall. on top of it laid a orange t-shirt that read camp half blood and a pair of jean shorts.

i got changed and left for the dinning pavilion. as soon as i stepped foot in everyone turned to look at me.
i hate attention from big crowds so despite the fact that my stomachs screamed at me for food i turned on my heels and dashed away.

again i went to the docks. this was becoming a habit it seemed.

CAMERON POV:

I was sitting at the apollo table talking to will when i saw raelynn walked in. everyone stared at her. she only stayed a few seconds before running out.

i looked by over to will "i uh gotta go"
"good luck" he said

i searched for raelynn for a while. i thought about where she could have gone.

can we go to the water?

i remember her asking to go to the beach yesterday. she must be at there.

i ran over to the docks to find raelynn sitting with her shoes off and feet in the water.
i touched her shoulder "hey"

she smiled "hey"
"ya know most people eat this thing called breakfast in the morning"
"yeah i'm not too hungry" her stomach growled and she looked away from me

"yeah that's a lie" i laughed
she gave a small giggle but frowned. "i don't like when a bunch of people are staring at me."

i took off my shoes and sat down next to her.
"i know it may seem scary right now but everything will be okay" i saw her smile out of the corner of my eye "you should really talk to percy see what he has to say. it's so weird you both having the same last name but you went into foster care."

she whipped her head toward me "wait we have the same last name?" she looked really confused.

"yeah i thought you knew that?"

RAELYNN POV:

I sat there staring at cameron.
"why didn't you tell me"

"i-i thought you knew!"

i think he might have said something after that but i was already off to look for percy.

i found him and annabeth along with some other dude. i rushed over to the group.

shoving percy i yelled "DID YOU KNOW"

he looked shocked "know know what?"

"THAT WE HAVE THE SAME LAST NAME. AKA THE SAME PARENTS"

annabeth and the boy paused but percy walked towards me.

percy sighed "yes cameron told me when he found out"

i was starting to tear up. all these years living in foster homes. the abuse mental and physical that i went through. never knowing if i was going to stay in one house longer than a day. all this while he had his parents to take care of him. a home to go to every year. friends people that cared about him.

i started crying and hitting percy. annabeth started to come forward and was about to attack me but  percy stopped her
"WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME." i screamed

he grabbed my hands to try and hold me still.
"I DIDNT KNOW"
i struggled a bit in his grasp but finally stopped moving. when he felt i wouldnt try to attack him anymore he slowly let me go. i looked down and took a step back. i took in a shaky breathe and wiped the tears from my eyes. they were red and puffy from crying.
Percy looked at me. "i didn't know about you. okay. in all of my 16 years of life my - our mother never said a word about you."

i sniffled "i'm only a year younger. why ... why would she get rid off me. did she not want me."
percy grasped my shoulders.

"no i'm sure that couldn't have been the reason. she did so much to protect me when i was younger i'm sure she only did it to protect you too."

i looked up to face him. "what's - what's her name?"
"sally. sally jackson."
i smiled. "that's a nice name. do you think i could .. meet her?"

"of course" percy laughed. "she would be so happy to finally see you again. annabeth, cameron, jason, piper, frank, hazel, leo and calypso are all coming over this weekend. would you like to join?"

"yeah i'd like that a lot actually"
percy smiled. "good" he wrapped his arms around me. i was surprised at first but i hugged him back.
