Chapter Ten

I had broken Scarlett. How did I break the completely, indestructible, independent, valedictorian? I turned back to look at her, but she was already gone. "Scarlett," I whispered to myself.

"Well don't let her get away!" I looked up to see a very angry Luke. Wearing pretty much what he was wearing yesterday. "I didn't let her go for you to let her go. "Go chase after her." Luke looked at me expecting me to chase after her. "Now!" he yelled in my face. I took this as an opportunity and ran after her.

"Scarlett!" I screamed towards the way she went. "Scarlett!" I called after her. I looked around and at everyone, making probably the biggest scene I could have. "Scarlett." I whispered, giving up.

I went home and layed on my bed not bothering to get under the covers when I heard someone singing above me. But it's home to me and I walk alone. I walk this empty street on the Boulevard Of Broken Dreams. Finally I matched the voice to the person. Scar. She lived right above me in the same shitty apartment building with the shitty thin floors. The music continued playing without her voice. "My shadow's the only thing that walks beside me"  she sang.

"My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating." I sang back, sure she could hear me.

"Sometimes I wish someone out there would find me." she sang, to me. I could feel the words literally directed towards me. "Till then I walk alone."  she finished the chorus.

"Scar I'm sorry!" I yelled up to her. She turned off the music as a response so I decided I would take this into my own hands. I walked over to my desk and grabbed a notebook and pen. I began to scribble down words, writing a song.

I decided it would sound much better with the guitar and started strumming. I then began to sing, feeling pretty nervous.

 

Within a minute I was all packed up

I've got a ticket to another world
