𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐈𝐕𝐄 - comfort from a new friend

It was on Thursday morning when Draco finally left the hospital wing after the accident in Care of Magical Creatures. The news of what happened spread quick around the school and everyone knew that Draco's father, Lucius Malfoy, was furious about what had happened.

Draco walked to the Slytherin table and sat next to his cousin, Cassie. He had a sling around his arm which he didn't need at all. Cassie went to see him the days he wasn't in classes to give him homework and she knew his arm was perfectly fine. He was just faking it for attention. So when she saw him with the sling, she said to him, "Why the bloody hell do you have a sling on? I saw you yesterday and it was perfectly fine!"

"Well not everyone knows that. I like the attention okay," he whispered to her, making sure no one heard that he was only using a sling for attention. Cassie shook her head at her cousin and carried on eating her breakfast until there was someone shouting from the Gryffindor table saying, "He's been sighted! He's been sighted!" It was Seamus who was saying it. Cassie got up to walk over to the table to see what they were talking about as she knew it couldn't have been good. Saffron was over there already and she noticed Cassie coming and said, "He's been sighted not to far from here. Are you okay?"

"Who's been sighted?" Cassie asked her friend but before she could reply, Seamus shouted again.

"It's Sirius Black! He's been sighted in a village not far from here!" This made Cassie gasp in shock and horror. She was absolutely terrified her uncle would try to find her. Her aunt made sure to remind her to be safe in case he tried to come near Hogwarts.

"Do you think he's coming to Hogwarts?" one person said.

"I don't know. He'll have to get passed the Dementors again," Cassie heard another person say. She wasn't really paying attention to who was saying these things she was to scared.

"Where did they say he was sighted?" Cassie said making everyone turn to her. Some people were looking at her with pity while most of them were looking like they were scared of her.

"Well you'd probably know. You're probably helping him," one of the older years said to her. Some people nodded in agreement. Cassie could feel tears filling up her eyes but she wouldn't let them fall. Not in front of all these people.

"We all know if he gets into the castle, you would've helped him!" another person said but Cassie wasn't paying attention to who as she could feel the tears she so desperately tried to hold back start to trickle down her freckled cheeks. Instead of standing there longer letting people see her cry, she ran off out of the Great Hall. While she was walking out she could feel the stares of everyone in the hall on her. Cassie liked attention but this was just too much. She was walked into one of the girls bathrooms and checked to make sure no one was there before locking herself in one of the stalls and started sobbing.
