Only you can make all this world seem right,
Only you can make the darkness bright

I felt butterflies in my stomach upon the words. I never knew someone ever noticed me, and the person seemed like such a hopeless romantic.

A blush crept up to my cheeks even after I thought about it the next morning as I woke up. The gentle reminders of it kept on coming back to me, turning my mood into a complete lovesick mess.

"So what's in that gift box?" Christina asked, once again residing on the stool behind my kitchen island. I looked over at her with my brows scrunched, then followed her gaze to the bouquet of gladiolus flowers.

"What gift?" I asked in pure confusion and she pointed towards the counter where a box was placed on.

"Oh." I walked over and took it in my hands. I didn't even see it when Luke brought everything up here last night.

I curiously opened the box, and Christina cooed over my shoulder. A poetry book was layed out in front of me, instantly bringing a smile to my face.

"This is so thoughtful!" she squealed, taking it from me and skipping a few pages to look it over. "What's his name?"

"Huh?"

"The one who sent you these. What's his name?"

"I don't know," I said truthfully, picking up the silky material that the book was wrapped in and took a sniff as Christina gave me an eyebrow raise.

"You don't want to tell me? Okay."

"I would if I knew," I clicked my tongue. "I really have no idea. There's nobody I even like."

"It's the second time I'm here and you got flowers."

"Jealous much?" I grinned, making her eyes roll as she sat back down.

"Don't you want to find out who it is?"

"I doubt I could."
