Romeo, Romeo!

Cha 3.) Audition

Gundham had signed up for the play and was quickly heading to the said audition room. He was nervous. Very nervous! He needed to do well so he'd get the part! Sonia wanted him to be her Romeo! Gundham had never wanted to play in such a romantic role before but this time he had a reason. Sonia.

Gundham stood waiting outside of the supposed audition room. Kazuichi and a few other guys already there before him. His friend was glaring at him but Gundham figured he'd get over it. Kazuichi walked over to Gundham. "May the best be Sonia's Romeo." He spoke dramatically. Gundham was going to respond but just then "Gundham Tanaka." He heard his name being called from inside the audition room.

"First up, huh... You should go, "Romeo."' Kazuichi rolled his eyes.  Gundham laughed mockingly.

"I shall. Thy will get the part and thou will be a mere tree in the midst of me and Sonia's setting!" Gundham stated and then walked off into the classroom feeling mighty as ever. 'For Sonia!' He thought as he stood in front of the judges/teachers.

"Hello dear judges! I am the one and only Gundham Tanaka, here to audition for the role of Romeo!" He announced with a big smile. The teachers were a bit more awake than they had been before thanks to Gundham's energy.

"Alright, Tanaka, here's the script." One of the teachers handed to him. "Now, I want you to flip to page twenty five and I'm gonna have you read lines 219 to 224." The same teacher ordered. Gundham nodded flipping quickly.

"EhEM!" Gundham got himself ready before he started to act. "From love's weak childish bow she lived uncharmed. She will not stay the siege of loving terms, nor bide th' encounter of assailing eyes, nor ope her lap to saint-seducing gold. O, she rich in beauty, only poor that, when she dies, with beauty dies her store!"
Gundham spoke loud and clear. His voice projection was quite perfect when he went ahead and tried.

A judge nodded his head as the other judge looked down at the script. "Now read, we're still on page twenty five, lines 226 to 230."

Gundham peered down at the script. He skimmed it and quickly remembered such lines. "She hath, and in that sparing makes huge waste; For beauty, starved her severity, cuts beauty off from all posterity. She is too fair, too wise, wisely too fair, to merit bliss by making me despair!" Gundham finished. His voice almost echoed through the classroom.

His thoughts, the place in which this passion came from, well, it was the thought of Sonia Nevermind of course. He couldn't play such a part without her in mind.

"I think that's all we need to see from you, Mr Tanaka." One of the judges spoke the other two nodding. Gundham was confused.

"Thou not needith more from me?!" Gundham asked to the blond in worry as he pet one of his hamsters, the animal sitting in his palm.

"Oh, Gundham, calm yourself. You probably just blew them away so much so that they didn't need to see anymore from you!" Sonia suggested a possibility for such an abrupt end to his audition.

"Do you really think so?" Gundham asked turning to her.

"Of course, you're an amazing actor, Gundham." Sonia spoke truthfully. Gundham felt his face heat up.

"R-Right! I am.. I'm sure I got the part, there's no need to worry, Sonia! Me and you shall rule t-the stage!" Gundham announced barley, flustered. Sonia smiled at the flushed boy.

"You know, I really must thank you. I know romance isn't your cup of tea so I'm very grateful to have such a great friend like you, Gundham." Sonia smiled clasping her hands perfectly together.

'But of course.. A beast like thy is lucky to even be considered friends with that of a swan.' Gundham thought putting his heart to rest.
